CINCINNATI, Ohio -- Edwin Encarnacion hit two three-run homers Friday night, and the Toronto Blue Jays pulled off the second-biggest comeback in franchise history, rallying from an early eight-run deficit to a 14-9 victory over the Cincinnati Reds. Air Max 97 Blanche Pas Cher . Toronto hit four homers during its comeback, including the two by the major leagues home run leader. Encarnacion started the comeback by connecting in the third inning off Mat Latos and finished it with his 23rd homer off Sam LeCure during a five-run ninth inning. Brett Lawrie and Juan Francisco also homered for Toronto, which piled up 16 hits and nine walks. The eight-run deficit was the second-biggest overcome in franchise history. Toronto overcame a 10-run deficit to beat Boston 13-11 in 12 innings in 1989. With the score tied at 9, Aroldis Chapman (0-2) came on to pitch the ninth and walked leadoff hitter Colby Rasmus. Erik Kratz doubled off the wall in left field to break the tie, then came around on Melky Cabreras single. Chapman was replaced after getting only two outs, and Encarnacion completed the big comeback and his sixth multihomer game of the season. Dustin McGowan (4-2) pitched a perfect eighth. Casey Janssen retired the three batters he faced in the ninth for his 13th save in 15 chances. The comeback boosted the Blue Jays out of a recent funk. They were swept for the first time this season at Yankee Stadium and had dropped nine of their last 12. The Reds pitching meltdown wasted a chance to get back to .500 for the fourth time this season. Cincinnati has yet to have a winning record. It was the first time the Reds blew an eight-run lead and lost since May 20, 2010, at Atlanta, a 10-9 defeat. The Reds gave up a season-high nine walks and 15 hits. The Blue Jays called up Liam Hendriks to start in place of R.A. Dickey, getting two extra days to rest a sore groin. The Reds knocked him out in the second inning while sending 11 batters to the plate for an 8-0 lead, their biggest inning of the season. Devin Mesoraco started the rally with a two-run homer and Jay Bruce finished it with a two-run shot. Bruce also singled as the Reds piled up seven hits and a walk. Latos made his second start since returning from the disabled list and wasnt sharp. He gave up nine hits, three walks and Encarnacions three-run homer during 5 2-3 innings. Reliever Jumbo Diaz made his major league debut in the seventh and gave up Lawries solo homer and Franciscos two-run shot, cutting it to 9-8. Toronto then tied it in the eighth on Dioner Navarros double off Jonathan Broxton. NOTES: LHP J.A. Happ (6-3) faces RHP Mike Leake (4-6) on Saturday. Ralph Krueger is trading in sports. Mike Matheny Jersey . The former Edmonton Oilers coach has been named the new director of Southampton. Most recently acting as an consultant to Steve Yzermans gold medal-winning Canadian Olympic hockey team in Sochi, Krueger, who also coached the Swiss national team, has no previous experience with soccer at any level. "This is the start of a new world for me," Krueger told BBC Sport. One thing Krueger doesnt intend to do is meddle in manager Mauricio Pochettinos on-pitch affairs. "Ive got to come in gently. We dont need sudden changes of direction. What Mauricio doesnt need is someone getting involved day-to-day," Krueger said. "He and his staff need space so they can continue to grow the group. Ive met Mauricio; hes very honest, a strong personality and he has strong values. I will stay in my place. He should feel comfortable." Though inexperienced in the soccer world, Krueger has a wealth of sports experience that he hope can translate outside of hockey. In 2011, Krueger was appointed a member of the World Economic Forum and has been key in the development of new leadership models. "My strengths are sport-specific on the hockey team-building side, but other strengths are on the leadership side," said Krueger, who coached the Oilers last season. "We need to take the whole leadership side to a different level." Saints currently sit ninth in the Barclays Premier League table and are next in action on Saturday when they host Liverpool. The Brazilian-born strikers brace drew him level with Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo as the leagues leading scorers with 17 goals apiece through 16 rounds. "The important thing is to help the team win, not the goals," Diego Costa said. After a first half dominated by defence, Atletico pressed Valencia into its area and Diego Costa did the rest. https://www.cheapcardinalsonline.com/244t-marcell-ozuna-jersey-cardinals.html . In the last race before the Sochi Olympics, Bjoergen followed up her win in the 10-kilometre classical race on Saturday by beating World Cup sprint leader Denise Herrmann of Germany by 0.43 seconds for her fifth victory of the season.TORONTO - When Patrick Patterson learned he would be making his first start as a member of the Raptors just prior to Monday nights game he wasnt exactly caught off guard by the news. With the first unit struggling of late and Amir Johnson - one of the teams iron men - hobbling on an injured right ankle, Patterson knew he could get the nod in a challenging matchup against one of the leagues up and coming players at his position. Although it likely wasnt an easy sell, Dwane Casey and the coaching staff made the decision to rest Johnson, who had not missed a game due to injury in nearly two years, opening the door for his backup. "I started in Houston so its not new," said Patterson, downplaying his role in Torontos 108-101 home win over the Pelicans after scoring a season-best 22 points. "Its just all about making sure I have a positive role and I know my role on the team… making sure Im a significant part of our teams success." Since coming over in the seven-player trade from Sacramento in early December, Patterson has seen his role increase steadily, earning the trust of his coach and becoming the Raptors most reliable reserve. After Johnson was ruled out, Casey expressed concern about disrupting the chemistry of his second unit by removing a key cog in Patterson, however the forwards recent play made the decision an easy one. "I thought the matchup with (Anthony) Davis was a good one for him," Casey said of Patterson, who has scored in double figures 13 times over his last 20 games, averaging 12.0 points and 5.7 rebounds, shooting 53 per cent from the field in under 24 minutes per contest during that stretch. "(Patterson) was able to stretch the defence and give us some offensive punch." Patterson gave the Raptors a lift where they needed it most. Toronto had been outscored in the opening quarter of the last four games, all on the road, before returning home Monday and getting off to a rare but crucial quick start against Davis and the Pelicans. Patterson - along with Kyle Lowry and DeMar DeRozan - was one of three Raptors to score seven points in the first frame, knocking down both of his shots and helping his team take a 31-20 lead into the second period. Thats where Pattersons presence was missed, as Torontos bench came in and squandered a 15-point advantage. Led by reserve guard Tyreke Evans, New Orleans ripped off a 26-11 run to end the half and would go into the break knotted up with Toronto at 49 points apiece. "For whatever reason we are losing leads with our second unit, what its doing is putting a lot of pressure on our starters and putting them in big minute situations," said Casey with both DeRozan and Lowry hovering around 40 minutes on Monday. "I think they just have to get their rhythm back. Taking (Patterson) off the second unit hurts them a bit, but still we have to gett a rhythm with that second unit so we can rest our starters. Dominic Leone Jersey. ." Heavy mileage has taken its toll on Johnson. The Raptors forward turned his ankle in a win over the Magic late last month - the most recent in a series of ankle injuries - and, to character, had played and started in all five games since. He could have done the same Monday if necessary, Casey indicated before the game, but with the all-star break around the corner and his team poised to make a playoff run over the next couple months, Johnson finally got some much-needed rest. "Its tough to replace a guy like Amir," DeRozan said of Johnson, who had not missed a game to injury since Mar. 5, 2012 (he was suspended for one game last year and sat out the previous season finale). "Everybody has to step up and try to do a little more (without him). Everybody understands their role and once they [saw] Amir [was] out, [they had] to step up and hold down the fort until he gets back." "Were deep," said Lowry, coming off his best game since before the road trip, scoring 19 points to go along with 12 assists and seven boards, five of them offensive. "Thats how we play, thats how we roll. 15 deep." Patterson started six games with the Kings earlier this season and has made 54 starts during his four year career, most of them as a member of the Rockets. With Patterson stepping into the first unit, Tyler Hansbrough - who has fallen out of favour since returning from an ankle injury last month - took advantage of the opportunity he was given off the bench, scoring 12 points and grabbing six rebounds in 14 minutes. "Tyler and Patrick both carried us tonight," Casey said. "I thought they were huge in their minutes." "Tyler came in and was a pro. He brings physicality to the game that we need." Patterson and Hansbrough shared the assignment of neutralizing Davis, the Pelicans second-year forward, who has been a revelation in the Western Conference this season. Davis scored just two points, hitting one of his six shots in his first appearance at the Air Canada Centre exactly a year ago Monday but hes come a long way since then. The first-time all-star is one of five players averaging over 20 points and 10 rebounds and the only one doing so while shooting over 50 per cent from the field. Hes also on pace to become just the fifth player since 1973 to lead the NBA in blocks in his first or second season. "Anthony Davis is one of the most skilled big guys in the league," Casey said before the game, comparing him to a young Kevin Garnett. Davis was glued to the bench in foul trouble late in the third as the Raptors made their run and finished the game with 19 points and seven rebounds while Evans, 24 hours after being bench for disciplinary reasons, had 23 points and 10 assists off the bench for New Orleans. The Montreal Canadiens recent skid couldnt have arrived at a worse time. Yankees Jerseys 2019 . Not to say theres ever a good time for four losses in a row, but thats the Habs reality and in doing so have seen themselves drop into wild card territory behind the hated Toronto Maple Leafs. Granted, Montreal has two games in hand, but with the three teams ahead of them all riding hot streaks - the Boston Bruins earning points in four straight, the Tampa Bay Lightning on a three-game winning streak and the Leafs having earned points in seven of their last eight - the alarm is rightfully going off. Its not just the losses or even the standings that are of highest concern to Montreal fans. The Canadiens have given up at least four goals in each of their last six and Carey Price has been chased out of the net in two of his last three games. Even the lone win that they have managed to garner over the stretch – a 5-4 overtime victory over the Ottawa Senators on Jan. 16 – was a puck that trickled past Craig Anderson and led to a firestorm with P.K. Subbans game-winning celebration. Add that to a near-goalie fight against the Pittsburgh Penguins last Wednesday and the Canadiens are grabbing headlines for the wrong reasons. So what gives? Mired in the longest stretch of futility since general manager Marc Bergevin took over, the Canadiens dont have a single player among the NHLs Top 50 scorers and their current leading scorer is a defenceman (Subban). A defenceman - mind you - that will once again be the centre of contract negotiations and all sorts of rumours until his name is once again down on a contract. However, with 55 points through the first 44 games of the season, perhaps the Habs should be granted some slack as they endure this skid. After all, the Detroit Red Wings - currently two points back of Montreal and in the second wild card spot - rattled off a six-game losing streak in December. The Maple Leafs, too, lost four straight before going on their current streak, giving up even more goals in their four-game skid than the Canadiens have on their current slide. Even if they should win both their remaining games, the Canadiens will post their worst monthly record of the season for January. They will then have five games in eight nights in early February to try to make some hay before the Olympic break. But then what? If Price or Subban are unable to thrive – or not even feature – for Canada at the Olympics, will it affect their play after the break? Will the likes of Alexei Emelin and Andrei Markov return jubilant if Russia captures gold at home? Or will they be crushed by disappointment? The Canadiens have time to turn the ship around with more than a third of the schedule left to play, but the closer the playoffs get, the tougher the games will get. The Bruins and Tampa Bay Lightning are both keeping pace with one another, meaning a failure to gain ground could soon result in a first-round date with one or the other. Or even the Pittsburgh Penguins. Or even failing to make the postseason for the second time in three seasons. So are the Habs going through a bad stretch? Or are they just a bad team? As always, its Your! Call. Kyle Higashioka Jersey . Argentina, who have yet to beat New Zealand in 17 meetings, rocked the All Blacks with an early converted try to backrower Juan Manuel Leguizamon and led 7-0 after five minutes. But Smiths double in the 23rd and 26th minutes - when Argentina was reduced to 14 men by the sin-binning of hooker Eusebio Guinazu - turned the tide of the match and set up New Zealands third straight Championship win. Zack Britton Jersey . The 10-horse field of 3-year-old pacers will leave the starting gate at approximately 10:14pm et. Co-owned and trained by David Menary, Hes Watching will be driven by Tim Tetrick and is the 5-1 fourth selection in the field. https://www.cheapyankees.com/71g-paul-oneill-jersey-yankees.html . - A late-game interception by defensive back Malcolm Butler saved the Super Bowl for the New England Patriots.ARLINGTON, Texas -- Connecticuts exclusive club of elite guards welcomed a new member Monday night. Amid a rain of confetti, Shabazz Napier basked in the celebration on the court after being named the Most Outstanding Player of the Final Four following the 60-54 win over Kentucky. Napier had 22 points on 8-of-16 shooting with six rebounds, and played lockdown defence in his final collegiate game. His career began as a freshman on the 2011 Connecticut team that won the title behind star guard Kemba Walker. Now, Napier is the man. "I will say one thing when they say Ray, Rip, Ben, Emeka, Kemba -- theyll soon say Shabazz," former coach Jim Calhoun, who won the 2011 title, said after watching the 2014 squad cut down the nets. Calhoun was referring to Ray Allen, Richard "Rip" Hamilton, Ben Gordon, Emeka Okafor and Kemba Walker. All except Okafor were guards. Not bad company at all. The Huskies steelyy point guard outshined Kentuckys freshmen phenoms. Mel Stottlemyre Jersey. Napier and fellow backcourt mate Ryan Boatright controlled the tempo and together outscored Wildcats twin guards Aaron and Andrew Harrison 36-15. On Saturday against Florida in the semifinals, Napier had 12 points and six assists. "Hes up there, hes up there," forward Niels Giffey said when asked where Napier rated among the history of Huskies guards. "He bleeds blue. He bleeds UConn." Napier looked like a floor general the way he directed players on offence with forceful motions. Instead of sulking after one blown play, Napier waited down court for his teammates and raised his right fist. Giffey said Napier promised his team after the 10-point loss to Louisville in the AAC tournament finals last month that they would cut down the nets in Texas. "I looked into his eyes and I really believed him," Giffey said. ' ' '

Canada kept their undefeated streak going by beating Great Britain 9-6 in womens curling to push their record to 3-0 at the Sochi Olympics on Wednesday. Cheap College Jerseys . Canada, led by Jennifer Jones, faced their first real test coming off dominant wins over 9-2 over China and 9-3 over Sweden on Monday and Tuesday respectively. Eve Muirhead, the 23-year old skip who led Scotland to a 2013 World Championship, followed through with expectations to lead Great Britain to a strong challenge against Canada. The two skips battled fiercely right into the final end. The skips battled hard where Jones tossed 85% and Muirhead went for 83%. There was very little separation between the opponents early in the match and that was the continued trend throughout. Up 8-6 going into the final end, Canada looked to be into as Great Britain was looking at scoring a double until Jones got a clutch take out, leaving just one stone near the button. Muirhead had the hammer with :30 remaining, but the result of her triple take out attempt went awry, resulting in a steal of one for Canada. The biggest Canadian highlight was the moment right before the conclusion of the fifth end where Muirheads final stone sat just short of the rings to play guard for a potential steal of two.But Jones stuck back, shooting a major take out which earned three points to bring it to 6-3 lead for Canada. Britain pulled it closed after six ends, bringing it to 6-5, but Jones was able to to keep distance securing a single in the seventh end to stay up by two. Muirhread came out of a tough eighth end, finishing with two of the four stones in the house but only could muster one point. Canada continues in the round robin on Thursday as they take on Switzerland. Wholesale NFL Jerseys . - Golden State Warriors coach Steve Kerr has nothing but good problems right now. He moved high to throw a block on Brad Keselowski and it backfired badly. The desperate attempt to preserve the win triggered a 12-car accident, Kyle Larsons car sailed into the fence and debris from the wreck injured nearly 30 fans. It was a racing accident, nobodys fault. But Smith was racked with guilt. So it was sweet redemption Saturday when he nipped Keselowski at the finish line to win the Nationwide Series opener — finally, a year later — at Daytona International Speedway. "I think it hurt him deeply that the fans were involved in the accident," said Dale Earnhardt Jr., who along sister, Kelley and Rick Hendrick owns the JR Motorsports Chevrolet that Smith drove to victory. "I think that he personally and privately (bore) some responsibility for his involvement in the crash, just being in the crash, to have someone in the grandstands get hurt had to affect him tremendously. That was definitely probably one of the toughest things he went through personally as a driver." Smith said he went to dinner with Earnhardt after the accident and leaned on his boss. "Im fortunate that Ive got a boss who has been in a lot of different situations in this sport and understands a lot of different things over the years in Dale," Smith said. "He just basically said Youve got to shake it off, its racing and no fault of anybody. Circumstances sometimes happen. He offered up a lot of good advice in that situation. It did bother me. Id be lying if I said I didnt." Nothing bothered Smith on Saturday. He beat Keselowski by 0.013 for the second-closest finish at Daytona International Speedway and seventh closeest in series history. Cheap MLB Jerseys. It was the 300th victory for the Hendrick Motorsports engine shop. Keselowski said last years crash-marred finish never entered his mind as he plotted his strategy over the closing laps. Smith and Keselowski raced side-by-side at the front of the pack over the final two overtime laps. They were door-to-door exiting the final turn and Smith edged him at the line. "Im not that smart and Ive got a terrible memory," Keselowski said of not worrying about a repeat of last year. Trevor Bayne finished third, followed by Kyle Busch, winner of Friday nights Truck Series race, and his Joe Gibbs Racing teammate Elliott Sadler. Brendan Gaughan was sixth and followed by Ty Dillon. Earnhardt Jr., who was 11th, ran into the back of Joe Nemechek after the finish. He said he was being pushed by Kyle Larson and traffic slowed too quickly. It caused heavy damage to Nemechek and Ryan Siegs cars that Earnhardt said hed pay to repair. "We were slowing down. I was looking all around trying to figure out where everybody was at," he said. "Totally my fault. Really wasnt paying attention. I hate it for Joe and those guys cause they dont need to be tearing up race cars." NASCAR issued its first drafting penalty of the season 86 laps into race when James Buescher was called for push-drafting Keselowski. Bueschers car seemed to be under the rear of Keselowskis car for several seconds, which violates NASCARs ban on drafting. NASCAR vice-president of competition Robin Pemberton said the penalty was called because Buescher appeared to be the aggressor regardless of what the television angle showed. Keselowski said the penalty "set the tone for the rest of the race as far as what guys were looking at for driving their cars." ' ' '

The 39-year old Gallacher eventually broke clear of the logjam atop the leaderboard to birdie Nos. 13, 16th and 17th before a regulation par at the last. "It took everything I had to win today especially after the start I had when I bogeyed the first two holes," Gallacher said. "The good thing is that I was fortunate that no one was running away with the tournament ... The turning point came at 11 when I holed a nice putt for birdie." HAMILTON, Ont. Fake Balenciaga From China . -- Another second-period collapse by the Hamilton Bulldogs ensured they would leave the weekend without a point in three games and their already faint playoff hopes made nearly impossible. David van der Gulik scored twice in just over three minutes of the second period as the Lake Erie Monsters handed the Bulldogs their third loss in as many days, 4-1 in the American Hockey League on Sunday. Hamilton head coach Sylvain Lefebvre was honest when asked to assess his teams situation. "At this point of the season, if you dont compete and you dont do it with desperate energy, you dont deserve to make the playoffs," he said. "Right now, weve dug ourselves a pretty big hole, and if weve stopped believing and weve quit, no ones going to benefit from that." Van der Gulik had three points, and Chad Hunwick and Michael Schumacher also scored for the Monsters (25-27-6). Calvin Pickard made 24 saves. Christian Thomas had the lone goal for the Bulldogs (25-28-5), who fell to last place in the AHLs Western Conference standings. They sit 11 points out of a playoff spot with just 18 games to play. Hamiltons Devan Dubnyk stopped 21 shots. Lefebvre sent a bold message to his players after losses on both Friday and Saturday, making captain and leading point scorer Martin St. Pierre a healthy scratch. "Im not happy with (St. Pierres) game," he said. "Ive been talking with him and sending him messages here and there. "Sometimes, as a coach, you have ways to get guys going, and hopefully he can rebound and get playing the way that he can." Two fighters who had met earlier this season renewed hostilities to open the game, as Hamiltons Nick Tarnasky and Lake Eries Guillaume Desbiens took part in a staged fight at the faceoff. Dubnyk looked confident in the early stages, twice denying the Monsters in close after giveaways by defender Morgan Ellis. His efforts kept Lake Erie off the scoreboard in the first period, and Hamilton nearly opened the scoring just over 10 minutes in when Sven Andrighetto eluded coverage to slip into the low slot, but neither he nor Maxime Macenauer could get wrist shots past Pickard. Hamilton finally opened the scoring at 15:55 of the first when Andrighetto slipped a pass into the high slot that set up Thomas for a crushing slapshot over Pickards shoulder. The goal was a welcome sight for the rookie, who admitted that his production of just 19 points in 39 games has not met his expectations. "It was big, because I havent scored in a while," he said. "Ive been having a slow season so far, but hopefully that gives me some confidence for the rest of it." The Bulldogs looked to build on their lead in the second when they were awarded a penalty shot when a broken stick was used to interrupt play. Andrighetto was selected to take it, but he couldnt solve Pickard. The missed opportunity proved costly when Lake Erie went to a power play, and van der Gulik scored his first of the period to level the game at a goal apiece at 16:06. He scored again just 3:06 later, when Andrew Agozzino sent a centring pass into the high slot, and van der Gulik connected with a low, one-time shot that clipped inside Dubnyks far post. Lefebvre singled out Andrighettos missed penalty shot as a turning point in yet another discouraging second period for the Bulldogs. "Our second periods have been nowhere to be found this year," he said. "We gain momentum in the first period and then we come out in the second and were flat." The Monsters added insurance with second power-play goal as van der Gulik threaded a pass from the point to Hunwick at the left circle. He had plenty of time to work with, and beat Dubnyk with a wrist shot over the shoulder at 9:11 of the third period. Schumacher added a fourth Lake Erie goal when he stole the puck from a Hamilton defender and shot through Dubnyks pads at 13:45 of the third. Cheap Balenciaga . Sixteen teams have moved on. MINNEAPOLIS -- From the moment Yasiel Puig broke into the big leagues, its been go, go, go for the 23-year-old Cuban outfielder. Minnesota Twins Shirts . Now that Los Angeles Dodgers manager Don Mattingly is seeing his electrifying, and sometimes maddening, player start to slow things down on the diamond, theres no telling how far his talents can take him. Puig tied a career high with four hits and drove in two runs and Dan Haren struck out seven in 6 2-3 innings to help the Los Angeles Dodgers to a 9-4 victory over the Minnesota Twins in Game 1 of a day-night doubleheader on Thursday. "His whole game seems to be calming down, base-running, defence," Mattingly said. "At the plate were seeing him be more patient. The sky is the limit for Yasiel Puig. "If he continues down this path, then he changes everything with how you pitch him, what you can do to him, because hes going to force you to throw the ball over the plate." Haren (4-0) gave up four runs -- three earned -- and six hits with three walks and Juan Uribe also tied a career-high with four hits and two RBIs for the Dodgers. Chris Perez pitched 1 2-3 innings for his first save. Mike Pelfrey (0-3) gave up five runs and seven hits and walked three in four innings for the Twins. Brian Dozier had two hits and two RBIs for Minnesota. The Dodgers looked uncomfortable in the 40-degree weather in the first inning, when throwing errors by Carl Crawford in left field and catcher Miguel Olivo on the same play allowed Trevor Plouffe to score from first base on a bloop single by Jason Kubel to give the Twins a 2-0 lead. But Pelfrey, who has not won a game at Target Field since April 16, 2013, gave the lead right back when his walk to Olivo loaded the bases with no outs in the second inning. Puigs two-run double made it 3-2 and the Dodgers scored two more on a double from Matt Kemp and a single from Uribe in the third to take control. "Weve got to do something about it, we have to fix it," Twins manager Ron Gardenhire said of Pelfrey. "Were trying to get him on the right path." Puig also had singles in the first, fourth and sixth innings and walked in the eighth, the third time hes had four hits in a game. He is batting .400 (16 for 40) with three doubles and 12 RBIs in his past 10 games to raise his average to .308 for the season and said hes worked with hitting coach Mark McGwire on his approach at the plate. "Hes helped me not get too anxious at the plate," Puig said through an interpreter. "And its helped me just connect with pitches that would normally give me trouble." The Twins seemed poised for a big inning in the fifth when Doziers single drove in two runs and a walk to Joe Mauer gave them runners on first and second with nobody out. Mattingly then challenged a close play at second base, when Hanley Ramirez stabbed a line drive from Plouffe and, in one motion, flipped the ball from his glove to second baseman Dee Gordon to try and double up Dozier. Umpires ruled Dozier safe on the play, but after a two-minute replay, officials overturned the call and ruled Dozier out. Jason Kubel grounded out in the next at-bat to end the inning and Haren escaped with a 5-4 lead. "That fifth inning was close to falling apart," Haren said. "Id be lying if I told you I didnt catch a break there, Hanley making a good play and getting the double play. ... Besides that I felt really good. I had a good rhythm the whole game." Gardenhire had a challenge of his own in the eighth inning when Kubel was called out on a play at second base. Gordon dropped the throw from Ramirez on the play, and replay officials quickly overturned the play to call Kubel safe. NOTES: Dodgers ace Clayton Kershaw, on the disabled list since after his first start of the season with strained shoulder, threw 86 pitches and allowed two runs in five innings in a start for Double-A Chattanooga on Wednesday night and appears in line to rejoin the rotation early next week. ... In the late match, Nuremberg drew 0-0 with Schalke to remain winless in the first half of the season. Werder snapped a five-match winless run when Santiago Garcia scored in the 74th minute. Aaron Hunts counter attack produced a chance for Cedric Makiadi, who stumbled in the penalty area but Garcia was there to drill the ball home. Dortmund got off to a fine start when Marco Reus used a long ball and an error by Hertha backup goalkeeper Marius Gersbeck to score from a sharp angle. But Adrian Ramos latched onto a low cross from Sami Allagui to score in the 23rd and Allagui secured the win just before half time after teenage defender Marian Sarr stumbled and lost the ball in front of the box. ORLANDO, Fla. CJ Wilson Angels Jersey . - Red Sox second baseman Dustin Pedroia is expected to be ready for Bostons opener at Baltimore on March 31 after surgery Wednesday on his left thumb. The operation to repair the ulnar collateral ligament in his thumb was performed by Dr. Donald Sheridan in Scottsdale, Ariz. "It was the less involved of the two potential procedures," Red Sox general manager Ben Cherington said. "Good prognosis." Pedroia hurt his hand diving into first base on opening day at Yankee Stadium and played the rest of the season with the injury. The 2008 AL MVP appeared in 160 games, batting .301 with 42 doubles and 84 RBIs while helping the Red Sox win the World Series for the second time in his seven-year career. Cherington said Pedroia likely would be eased into spring training with the idea of building him up to full strength by the time the season starts. "Thats our expectation," the GM said. "Well know more as we get deeper into the winter on the exact timeframe." Baker finished 9-of-11 from the field and hit all three of his 3-point tries, while Darius Carter recorded 16 points on 8-of-12 shooting and added 12 rebounds for Wichita State (6-1). Fred VanVleet contributed 18 points and eight assists to the Shockers 22nd straight win at Koch Arena. The Pirates (7-1) entered the matchup as one of only 11 remaining Division I teams with an unblemished record, but werent able to handle the step up in competition in their toughest test to date. Seton Hall did get a game-high 23 points out of Isaiah Whitehead and 19 from Sterling Gibbs, but were plagued by 18 turnovers and trailed by as many as 21 before making a late push. It was a good butt-kicking, Pirates head coach Kevin Willard said. Our turnovers really hurt us, and that?s a credit to their defense and they way they got after us. The Shockers overcame a cold early shooting display to build a 34-18 lead late in the first half, taking charge via a 26-5 run fueled by their defense. Whitehead dropped in eight quick points to stake Seton Hall to a 13-8 edge eight minutes in, but Wichita State moved ahead to stay with a 13-0 spurt in which it netted nine points off four Pirate turnovers. That was a bigg segment, Shockers head coach Gregg Marshall said. David Fletcher Jersey. We finally got some deflections and steals. That was the difference. Seton Hall had three more giveaways -- all of which led to easy Shocker baskets -- during an 11-0 flurry that accounted for Wichita States 16-point cushion with 2:25 to go before halftime. The Shockers forced 12 turnovers overall for the period to cruise into the break owning a 40-25 lead. Wichita State continued to hit shots in the second half to prevent the Pirates from chipping away at the deficit, claiming a comfortable 66-46 advantage with 7 1/2 minutes left following back-to-back 3-pointers by VanVleet and Baker. Seton Hall was able to make the outcome a bit more respectable in the final 2 1/2 minutes, with Gibbs burying a trio of threes to spark a 9-2 Pirates run to finish out the contest. Game Notes The Shockers recorded 24 total points off turnovers and outscored Seton Hall by a 38-24 margin in the paint ... Gibbs, Seton Halls leading scorer coming in, did not have a point in the first half while spending much of the period on the bench in foul trouble ... Wichita State extended its home win streak over non-conference opponents to 30 straight ... The Chicago Blackhawks will take aim at a 2-0 lead in the Western Conference Final tonight when they host the Los Angeles Kings in Game 2 from United Center. Billy McKinney Blue Jays Jersey . Watch the game unfold live on TSN and TSN GO at 7:30pm et/4:30pm pt. The defending Stanley Cup champions drew first blood in the opener of this best-of-seven set, downing the visiting Kings by a 3-1 score on Sunday. Los Angeles hopes for a better result on Wednesday, as it aims to avoid its second straight series loss to the Blackhawks in the conference finals. The Kings fell behind 2-0 on the road in last springs encounter, and only won Game 3 on home ice before falling to Chicago in five games. Sundays opener marked the first time two teams met in the Western finals in back-to-back years since the Stars/Avalanche in 1999-2000. Picking up wins in Chicago has not been easy for the Kings or anybody else. The Blackhawks have claimed six straight home games against L.A. in the regular season and playoffs combined and are 7-0 as the host in this postseason. Chicago is 18-2 in its past 20 home playoff games, and according to Elias Sports Bureau, the Blackhawks are the first NHL team to win 18 of 20 home postseason games since Edmonton did the same from April 7, 1988-May 2, 1990. Blackhawks forward Andrew Shaw, who hasnt played since Game 1 of the second round due to a lower-body injury, will not play tonight. He wanted to play, but coach Joel Quenneville said they will wait until Game 3 on Saturday. Of course, the Kings are no stranger to coming from behind in a playoff series this spring. L.A. became the fourth team in league history to rally from a 3-0 deficit when it won the final four games against San Jose in Round 1 and came back from down 3-2 to beat the Anaheim Ducks in the conference semifinals. Duncan Keith registered the winner late in the second period Sunday and Corey Crawford stopped 25 pucks to help Chicago earn the 1-0 series lead. Brandon Saad and Jonathan Toews added tallies for the Blackhawks, while Marian Hossa contributed a pair of assists. "I thought we had a good first five minutes, but it was even the rest of the way. Every shift is going to be important," said Chicago head coach Joel Quenneville. Tyler Toffoli provided the sole offense and Jonathan Quick made just 17 saves for the Kings, who were playing Sunday just two days after posting a Game 7 road win in Anaheim. "We had a chance," Kings forward Mike Richards said. "We shot ourselves in the foot a bit on their goals. Give them credit, theyre an opportunistic team. We made a couple mistakes and they ended up in our net." Los Angeles, which has played 15 postseason games thus far, had an extra day to regroup for this evenings Game 2. "Only time I really noticed it quite honest was early in the game," Kings head coach Darryl Sutter said when asked if fatigue was a factor in Game 1. "They were going to come out with some energy, they did two or three times in the first where we got caught at the end of shifts. Thats where it showed up. Other than that, I dont think it really hurt us that much." The clubs will get two more days of rest after tonights battle, as Game 3 is scheduled for Saturday in Los Angeles. Kings forward Anze Kopitar was held without a point for only the second time in these playoffs on Sunday. He is leading all players in the postseason with 19 points on five goals and 14 assists. "Theyre a good team obviously," Kopitar said after Game 1, "I think right down the lineup theyre pretty solid, obviously. Were going to have to do a better job of checking, of not giving up timely goals and score a few more ourselves." The Kings welcomed back defenseman Willie Mitchell, who had been sidelined since Game 6 of the first round with a lower-body injury suspected to be a leg issue. L.A. is still without defenseman Robyn Regehr, who has been out since suffering a lower-body injury in Game 1 of the conference semis against Anaheim. Regehr has not resumed skating and there is no timetable for his return to game action. Shannon Stewart Blue Jays Jersey . Off-Season Game Plan looks at what the Blue Jackets may do to build upon last seasons success to return to the playoffs again next year.DUBLIN, Ohio -- Another rain delay cut short some exceptional golf Friday in the Presidents Cup. Phil Mickelson and Keegan Bradley shot 30 on the front nine at Muirfield Village, an astounding performance in foursomes. Only some sloppy play allowed the match to go 15 holes in a 4-and-3 win over Jason Day and Graham DeLaet of Weyburn, Sask. "We were down but, boy, on 5 we just turned it on and played some of our best golf," Mickelson said. Right behind them, Brendon de Jonge began to emerge as a star of the International team. He teamed with Ernie Els and they never trailed in a 4-and-3 win over Hunter Mahan and Bill Hass, going 8 under when the match ended at the 15th. "This guy, he played beautiful and we both played well today," Els said. The Americans had a 4 1/2-3 1/2 lead, though four matches were still in progress when darkness descended on Muirfield Village. For the second straight day, storms interrupted play and left a bleak outlook for finishing Sunday. Heavy rain -- and the time it took to get small pools of water out of the bunkers and fairways -- led to a delay of nearly three hours. The other four matches -- the Americans were up in two, the International led the other two -- were to resume Saturday morning. Tiger Woods and Matt Kuchar were 6 under through eight holes and still only had a 1-up lead over Louis Oosthuizen and Charl Schwartzel. Oosthuizen missed a short par putt on the ninth to lose another hole, and the former British Open champion made an even greater blunder on the par-3 12th. After Woods went long of the green, Oosthuizens 7-iron leaked to the right and hopped into the water. The Americans won with a bogey and were 3 up with six holes to play when they stopped. Steve Stricker and 20-year-old Jordan Spieth finally seized control of their match when Spieth made a 15-foot birdie putt on the par-3 eighth, and the Texan made another key birdie on the 12th. They were 3 up with four holes remaining. What looked to be the decisive match of the foursomes session was Angel Cabrera and Marc Leishman, who overcame an early deficit and were 1 up with five holes remaining against Webb Simpson and Brandt Snedeker. The International team had control of the other match. Hideki Matsuyama and Adam Scott lost only one hole and were 4 up with seven holes remaining against Zach Johnson and Jason Dufner. Saturday is the busiest day for the Presidents Cup, with five fourballs matches early and five foursomes matches late. It concludes with 12 singles matches Sunday, though the forecast is not any better, especially for Sunday. One thing was becoming clear through the relentless appearance of clouds -- the course Jack Nicklaus built has been groomed for birdies. Nicklaus stood at the back of the press centre peering at the scoreboard, and he couldnt believe the scores he saw from both sides. Kelvim Escobar Jersey. . "They say this golf course is tough," Nicklaus said, although he knows better. The greens are among the most pure on the PGA Tour, and they are soft because of the rain. In match play, with 24 of the best players from every continent except Europe, Muirfield Village doesnt stand much of a chance. "They are not protecting the course like they might do on a Sunday of the Memorial," Els said. "So they are setting up the course where you can make some birdies if you play properly." It was a big change from two years ago at fast, fiery and frightening Royal Melbourne. In 80 holes on Friday, there were 51 birdies and two eagles. Thats good for the fourballs format -- rarely for alternate shot. "People want to see birdies," Mickelson said. "We dont want to be playing defence. We want to be playing offence. And when you do that, youre winning holes because of great shots, not because of others mistakes. And I think thats exactly the way it should be in these team events." Mickelson and Bradley, coming off their first loss in four matches as a team, fell behind early and needed a pair of big putts from Bradley to keep from falling further behind. It took a 15-foot eagle putt by Mickelson just to square the match on the par-5 fifth. But there was no stopping them from there. They followed with three straight birdies and won three straight holes on the back nine with pars. Mickelson tried to hole out a pitch just short of the 13th green -- an up-and-down was all he needed -- and it hit the hole and spun 4 feet away. Bradley missed the par putt, bungled the 14th for another bogey and they halved the 15th with birdies. Even so, they made six birdies and an eagle in 15 holes of alternate shot. "I just think that when Phil and I get rolling in this alternate shot, we complement each other so well," Bradley said. "I think that we both really enjoy kind of showing off in front of each other." De Jonge and Els opened with two quick birdies through three holes and never gave Mahan and Haas much of a chance. They didnt lose a single hole. "Brendon played awesome," Els said. "He played great yesterday. Actually, he even played better today." The Zimbabwean, in his first Presidents Cup, said Els contributed in his own way. "Dont let Ernie give me all the credit," de Jonge said. "Hes by far the most calming influence Ive ever been on the golf course with. Its nice to play with a Hall of Famer who hits it in the middle of the fairway and middle of the green. He makes it very easy." The conclusion of the second session could be pivotal for captain Nick Price and his International team, which has lost the last seven foursomes sessions in this event. ' ' '

Bowling Green, KY (SportsNetwork. Trey Freeman poured in 20 points for the Monarchs (13-2, 2-1), whose 10-game win streak came to a halt. Jonathan Arledge added nine and six boards for the visitors. CBS Sports Jon Heyman is reporting that Santana will sign a one-year deal, likely in the next two days with one of a trio of suitors, with the Toronto Blue Jays believed to be heavily involved. TORONTO -- It was nothing new to see these Toronto Maple Leafs beaten. A 4-2 loss to the Detroit Red Wings was their eighth straight in regulation. But Saturday night in the home locker room at Air Canada Centre, the Leafs looked defeated for the first time during this losing streak or this once-hopeful season that has quickly gone off the rails. "I cant describe it right now," winger Joffrey Lupul said. "This was as close to a do-or-die as you can get. But obviously were not going to throw out hope until its mathematically set in stone. But we pretty much had to have this game." Seven losses piled up and yet the Leafs still sounded like a team that had hope. Giving up huge leads in the standings to the Red Wings, Columbus Blue Jackets and Washington Capitals to fall into a four-way tie at 80 points was one thing. Squandering the most important game of this stretch so far to a fellow Eastern Conference wild-card competitor felt like the breaking point. "This loss is the most disappointing out of the eight. Theres no hiding that," captain Dion Phaneuf said. "We come tonight against a team that was battling for that same spot and they win this hockey game. This is the toughest loss for sure." Detroit (34-26-14) got a hat trick from Darren Helm and another from the NHLs hottest goal-scorer, Gustav Nyquist, to reach 82 points. "It was the first hat trick I ever had, which is pretty special," Helm said. "Big game to win, too. I was happy to win the game, first off, but the hat trick is a nice thing to take home." The Red Wings werent the only ones in the race to win Saturday night, as the Blue Jackets beat the Carolina Hurricanes in overtime to take over the top wild-card spot in the East at 82 points. Columbus leads Detroit because they have more regulation and overtime wins (33 to 29). With just six games remaining -- two less than each of the three teams theyre competing with for two spots -- the Leafs are fourth among those teams and know the difficult task in front of them. "Weve got to win the rest of our games and get help now, I think," said Lupul, who scored the Leafs second goal of the night late in the second period to give some life that evaporated in the third. "All we can control right now is winning the rest of our games, and were going to have to have every one, probably." Phaneuf didnt want to consider that daunting task. The defenceman whose miscues cost the Leafs in previous defeats didnt want to think too far ahead but also called this a "very trying" time for a group that was in second place in the Atlantic Division as recently as Mar. 16. This was the first time in franchise history that Toronto (36-32-8) went eight straight games without a point since 1996 and the first time it lost eight consecutive in regulation since 1985. "Its not like were playing bad hockey, its just one of those things where every mistake that we do make ends up (in our net)," said defenceman Cody Franson, who opened the scoring 10:57 into the first period. "Its the end of the season, everybodys clamping down and your little mistakes end up costing you. Plain and simple." Mistakes like a turnover by Phil Kessel on the power play early in the second that led to Helms first, a short-handed goal. Or like thhe puck taking a bad hop off Franson and right to Helm for his third. Fake Yeezys Online. . "It just isnt meant to be for us right now, and this is the tough ones," coach Randy Carlyle said. Asked what he figured the difference was in the loss, his third straight since returning from a groin injury, goaltender Jonathan Bernier (24 saves on 28 shots) said: "Odd-man rushes." Lupul agreed. "We gave up odd-man situations repeatedly for whatever reason," he said. "Its tough to say from the bench, thats something you notice when you watch the game again. But the try is there, just we didnt get the job done and we have to pay for that now." The Leafs have been paying since they last won a game, Mar. 13 at the Los Angeles Kings. Most importantly they havent been picking up valuable points with the games whittling down to the end of the regular season. On the other hand, Detroit has picked up 11 points and gone on an impressive run without star forward Pavel Datsyuk and captain Henrik Zetterberg. The injuries have piled up, but the Red Wings have gotten 21 goals in 26 games from Nyquist and continued solid performances from goalie Jimmy Howard (25 saves) to remain in the playoff race. "Weve been devastated this year, no question about it, but we found all these kids and were better for it going ahead, so thats a positive thing," coach Mike Babcock said. "Weve had a lot of fun doing it. Weve been in the grinder since day one, theres no question about it, but weve had a lot of fun doing it and weve got a big game against Tampa tomorrow." Every game down the stretch is big for the Leafs now. They return to Air Canada Centre on Tuesday night to face the Calgary Flames before hosting the Atlantic Division-champion Boston Bruins on Thursday and the Winnipeg Jets on Saturday. They finish the season with three on the road: at the Tampa Bay Lightning, Florida Panthers and Ottawa Senators. But unless they manage to string together a home winning streak, those games will be too late. The task in front of them is to prevent doing even once more what theyve done eight consecutive times. As the Leafs seemed to realize Saturday night, they can no longer afford to lose. "Weve won six in a row in the season," Bernier said. "Obviously its hard to snap the long losing streak like that, but weve got to find a way. If not, then well be home very soon." NOTE -- Winger Phil Kessel took a pass from James van Riemsdyk off his right foot in the first period and laboured to the bench in pain. Kessel was seen limping after the game, but Carlyle did not have any information on his condition. ... Bernier started on back-to-back days for the first time this season and just the second time in his NHL career. The only previous time was March 5, 2013 with the Los Angeles Kings, when Bernier was pulled after giving up three goals on eight shots. ... Defenceman Paul Ranger and enforcer Colton Orr were scratched for the Leafs, who recalled forward Jerry DAmigo earlier in the day from the AHLs Toronto Marlies. ... The Red Wings were playing their 14th straight game without Datsyuk (knee) and 16th straight without Zetterberg (back). Theyve played 35 total without Datsyuk and 29 without Zetterberg. ... The game was broadcast live on CCTV in China. ' ' '

FA chairman Greg Dyke has told UEFA that stewarding at Englands Euro 2016 match with Russia was unacceptable and warned he has serious concerns about security for Thursdays clash against Wales. Fake Jerseys For Sale . In a letter to European footballs governing body, Dyke said his organisation is taking the threat to kick England out of the tournament seriously but defended the role of English fans in the crowd trouble during Saturdays match with Russia.UEFAs executive committee on Sunday warned the FA and the Russian Football Union it will not hesitate to impose additional sanctions...including the potential disqualification of their respective teams should fan disorder continue. But while Dyke condemned the trouble involving England fans in Marseille, he insists video evidence proves Russian fans were to blame for the ugly scenes inside the Stade Velodrome, a claim he feels is backed up by UEFAs decision to only instigate sanctions against Russia.Dyke wrote: Whilst we absolutely share the executive committees concern regarding these abhorrent scenes, particularly in the Stade Velodrome on Saturday night, I would like to make some serious points. Roy Hodgson and Wayne Rooney have urged Englands fans at Euro 2016 to behave The implication in your jointly-addressed letter is that English fans were in part responsible for the terrible incidents at the end of the match with Russia. This is contradicted both by the video evidence and by the fact your independent disciplinary bodies have only instigated sanctions against the Russian Football Union. We believe the stewarding arrangements in place were unacceptable. Supporters were able to get in with fireworks and flares, and then let them off, and there was insufficient segregation between the Russian and English fans, particularly given the events of the previous two days. Greg Dyke has concerns over security at Lens on Thursday Having said that let me be clear, we join you in condemning the horrible scenes in Marseille away from the stadium on Thursday, Friday and matchday.England manager Roy Hodgson and captain Wayne Rooney released a video on Monday in which they urged England fans to stay out of trouble. But Dyke has called for security to be improved in the build-up to Thursdays match with Wales in Lens - particularly as Russia play Slovakia in nearby Lille on Wednesday. We are planning to use our high-profile individuals to ask English fans to act responsibly and in a respectful manner and we take seriously your suggestion of sanctions, added Dyke.We understand there is to be an alcohol ban across the host cities and we would welcome this, particularly in Lille on Wednesday where many English fans have been asked to gather ahead of Thursdays match against Wales in Lens. French prosecutors say 150 Russian hooligans were to blame for the fan trouble in Marseille We have, following consultation with the authorities, advised our supporters without tickets for the match in Lens to congregate there, and whilst we will be working hard to positively influence their behaviour we have serious concerns around the security arrangements for the city in the next few days. These concerns are heightened with the knowledge that Russia will play in Lille on Wednesday afternoon.Six England fans were jailed on Monday for taking part in the violence that spread across Marseille, with all banned from France for two years.Catch up with all the latest Euro 2016 news with Euro Breakfast each morning on Sky Sports News HQ from 6am. The third-seeded Spartans (26-8) are getting healthy and will have some momentum entering the NCAA tournament with four wins in five games. Top-seeded Michigan (25-8) was led by Big Ten player of the year Nik Stauskas with 17 points and Derrick Walton Jr. had 11, but the Big Ten regular season champs had their seven-game winning streak come to an end. It was never really close. Michigan State took control with an early 12-0 run, led 38-29 at halftime and opened the second half with an 8-0 spurt to make it 46-29. Michigan never got closer than 10 points again. The Spartans had lost their previous two meetings with Michigan this season but werent about to lose again Sunday. For the first time all season, Michigan State started the same five players for a fifth straight game. Harris, who hurt his left shoulder early in the second half, returned later. Harris, an Indiana native who never got to play for a state basketball title at Bankers Life Fieldhouse, took advantage of this opportunity. He scored 13 of his 15 points in the first half. Dawson, another Indiana native who was named the tournaments Most Outstanding Player, scored 10 of his 15 points in the seccond half. Fake Football Jerseys. Michigan State has four tournament titles since the Big Ten started the event in 1998. Michigan, meanwhile, will be waiting to see if this ugly loss could cost it a No. 1 seed in next weeks NCAA tournament. The Wolverines, who narrowly escaped with wins in the quarterfinals and semifinals, were not their usually strong shooting selves as they played for the third time in three days. They avoided matching their season-low point total when Zak Irvin hit a 3 with 15.9 seconds to go and their shooting percentage (31.5) nearly matched a season low, too. Michigan shot 31.1 per cent from the field in a 63-61 loss to Charlotte on Nov. 24. And they were outrebounded 38-28. Michigans problems started early. The Spartans went on a 12-0 run to take a 16-9 lead -- and never gave it up. They led by as much as 25-14 in the first half, getting Michigans top two big men -- Jordan Morgan and Jon Horford -- into early foul trouble. Coach John Beilein even was called for a technical foul midway through a dreadful half. Harris finished it off emphatically by taking a pass at midcourt and driving right through Michigans defence for a one-handed dunk to make it 38-29. Things didnt get any better for Michigan in the second half. Michigan State scored the first eight points to make it 46-29, then closed it out with a late 10-4 run that extended the lead to 69-52. NASHVILLE -- Steve Spurrier now trails only Paul "Bear" Bryant for the most Southeastern Conference wins by a coach. Air Max 1 Wholesale . Not that the old ball coach is celebrating a win he called one of the worst hes ever had. Dylan Thompson threw for 237 yards and three touchdowns, and he ran for another score as 14th-ranked South Carolina beat Vanderbilt 48-34 Saturday night for its third straight victory. But the Gamecocks fell behind 14-0 in the first quarter and didnt put away a team playing the most freshmen in the country until the final minutes. "Weve all seen good football teams, we aint one," Spurrier said. "Dont say were one right now. The way we play? Maybe we can be? I dont know . Its no fun for me watching us play tonight." Spurrier now has 202 Southeastern Conference wins, breaking a tie with Vince Dooley and putting him second only to Bryant (292). Spurrier also got his 20th win all-time against the Commodores. The Gamecocks (3-1, 2-1) started slow coming off their 38-35 win over Georgia in their first road trip this season. They got going by scoring 17 points in the second quarter, part of 24 straight points that gave them the lead for good, and beat Vanderbilt for a sixth straight time in this series. Darrius Sims returned two kickoffs for touchdowns for Vanderbilt. The Commodores (1-3, 0-2) pulled to 34-27 with 5:57 left but couldnt get closer. "Well take a look at the tape and fix what needs to be fixed," first-year Vandy coach Derek Mason said. "Our kids got better tonight ... When we get it right, we look pretty good." Vanderbilt has played 31 combined freshmen this season, and the Commodores lost starting quarterback Patton Robinette to an apparent injury after he threw a TD pass for a 14-0 lead late in the first quarter. Freshman Wade Freebeck replaced Robinette, and he drove the Commodores to two field goals by Tommy Openshaw in the second half. It just wasnt enough against the Gamecocks who answered with two TDs in the final 4:35. Pharoh Cooper set up the first, a 1-yard TD plunge by Thompson, with a 70-yard run off the wildcat after Vandy pulled within 34-27. Thompson finished 22 of 34 passing with his TD passes to three different players as he completed passes to seven receivers. South Carolina outgained Vanderbilt 449-379 in total offence, and the Gamecocks turned two turnovers into 14 points, including a 53-yard interception return by Brison Williams late in the first half. "Well, Vanderbilt has not been an offensive juggernaut in the SEC, and lets see, we did hold them to really not a lot of points," Spurrier said. Thompson said he probably hasnt seen Spurrier this upset. "We cant play like that," Thompson said. "We have to sharpen up every facet of the game. We come in here and played sloppy. It was a sloppy game. Hard to watch as a fan Im sure. But we did get the win. You appreciate wins, especially road wins in the SEC, but we have to sharpen up." Sims tied an NCAA record in the Football Bowl Subdivision with his two TDs off kick returns in the same game, the 18th time thats happened and first since 2012. He returned the opening kick 91 yards for a TD and then took Vanderbilts first kickoff in the second half 100 yards to pull the Commodores to 24-21. "We kept running right by the kickoff return guy, and he split us just about every time," Spurrier said. Vanderbilt got the start Mason needed off Sims kickoff return. Robinette made it 14-0 with an 8-yard TD pass to C.J. Duncan in the final minute of the first quarter. Vanderbilt held the ball for more than 9 minutes and outgained the Gamecocks 86-30. Then Robinette went to the locker room with an apparent injury after he started 4 of 5 for 55 yards. Freebeck came on, and the Commodores stalled. The Gamecocks took control scoring with a 45-yard field goal by Elliott Fly, a 29-yard pass from Thompson to Damiere Byrd for a TD. Vanderbilt was driving when Freebeck threw off his back foot and was intercepted by Williams. Vanderbilt had its chances to recover three fumbles in the second half only to see the Gamecocks get the ball back each time. Vapormax Clearance Sale . The San Angelo, Texas product, who was a high school and college quarterback sensation in the Lone Star State, will start his first CFL game with the Saskatchewan Roughriders (9-4) on Friday at Mosaic Stadium against the leagues top team, the Calgary Stampeders (11-2).(SportsNetwork.com) - Two of the hottest teams in the NBA tip it up Thursday, as the Oklahoma City Thunder and Golden State Warriors clash at Oracle Arena. The Warriors recently had their franchise-record 16-game winning streak broken, while the Thunder have ripped off seven straight wins and nine in the last 10 games. Oklahoma City is 8-1 since Kevin Durant returned from foot surgery and recorded a 104-92 win at Sacramento on Tuesday in the opener of a three-game western road trip. Russell Westbrook scored 32 points with seven assists and Durant netted 26 points for OKC, which has held the last four opponents under 100 points and scored 26 points on 19 Sacramento turnovers. Defensively, we have been locking down, said Durant, who reached the 15,000- point mark in his career. If we want to win, we have to continue to do that. The Thunder, who posted 21 fastbreak points, are first in opponents scoring at 93.9 points per game and second in opponents field goal percentage (41.8). The Thunder are unbeaten in the last four away games and have a 5-8 road mark this season. Oklahoma City will visit the Los Angeles Lakers Friday night and is averaging 104.9 ppg over the past 10 games. Thunder center Steven Adams (calf) is probable Thursday. The Warriors dropped a 105-98 decision in Memphis on Tuesday. It was their first loss since Nov. 11 versus San Antonio. Klay Thompson and Stephen Cuurry scored 22 and 19 points, respectively, and Marreese Speights added 18 off the bench for Golden State, which went 2-1 on its road trip and shot 41. Cheap Nike Shoes Near Me. 1 percent. The Warriors struggled from 3-point territory and made only 9-of-31 beyond the arc. Curry was just 1-for-10 on 3-pointers. Memphis opened the second quarter on a 20-0 run and posted a 33-19 scoring advantage in the period. The Grizzlies later had their lead trimmed to two points, but responded with a 7-0 run to pull away. Just too much to overcome, thats a great team, Warriors coach Steve Kerr said. We had to fight really hard just to get back to where we were. Golden State had won 10 straight road games, a franchise best. Draymond Green finished with four points, five blocks, six assists and 10 rebounds in defeat. The Warriors were again without David Lee (hamstring) and Andrew Bogut (knee tendinitis). The Warriors are scheduled to play two straight and eight of their next 10 games at home, where they have won six in a row. Kerrs squad is third in scoring at 107.2 ppg and third with a 47.8 field goal percentage. Thompson has aided those numbers and has posted 20 or more points in each of the previous eight games. Golden State notched a 91-86 win over Oklahoma City on Nov. 23, as Speights had 28 points and seven rebounds off the bench. Durant and Westbrook did not play in that one for OKC. ' ' '

Thirteen years ago the Ottawa Senators drafted Jason Spezza. Now are they going to trade Spezza on Draft Day or perhaps even before? Bob McKenzie: They certainly hope so, and the talk has picked up the past 24-48 hours to the point now where there are four teams talking to the Senators about Spezza. Three of those teams are in the Western Conference and we know Anaheim and St. Louis are among that group. One mystery team in the Eastern Conference has entered the fray which makes things a little interesting. Keep in mind Spezza has a list of 10 teams that he cannot be traded to and there are four Eastern Conference teams that are on that list including Florida, Carolina, Columbus, and the New York Islanders. In a perfect world the Senators would like to have this done before or at the Draft; they would like to get a first-round pick in Fridays draft as part of the compensation for Spezza. David Bolland is set to become a free agent July 1 but Toronto has been looking at getting a deal done. Now they know exactly what he wants, is it too steep? Darren Dreger: He wants maximum value and as far as the Maple Leafs are concerned, yes its too steep. Its believed that hes asking for the maximum eight years to stay with the Leafs and at $4.9 million per year. Thats a tough hit. At 28-years-old, Bollands earned his right to unrestricted free agency. I believe the Leafs would be more comfortable in that 5-6 year range so its very likely Bolland is going to unrestricted free agency. Hes not healthy yet but hes well on his way and he hopes and believes hell be at 100% as early as training camp. Are the Edmonton Oilers in pursuit of a centre? Dreger: Yes, theyre looking for a centre and a defenceman and theyre very active. Theyre throwing out some considerable assets as well; we know that the Oilers third overall pick is very much in play. And Sam Gagners name seems to suurface annually at the draft, hes also trade bait for Edmonton. Air Max 270 React Cheap. And the Oilers are still in the game for the first overall pick with Florida. Will Joe Thornton go anywhere? McKenzie: Not right now. Its a dicey situation, I think in a perfect world the San Jose Sharks would like to try and trade Thornton and begin a rebuilding process using the return as a centerpiece for it. But as of right now, Thornton has no intention of waiving his no-move clause to go anywhere. Theres no list whatsoever, and if there was a list I suspect it would include teams the Sharks probably wouldnt want to trade him to like the Anaheim Ducks, Los Angeles Kings, or Chicago Blackhawks. In the meantime Thornton, as the captain of the team, is meeting with the core group of players and trying to pick up the pieces and carry on but well see what happens. So no list for Thornton but there definitely is a list for Ryan Kesler… McKenzie: There is a list of six teams for Kesler and the two teams that seem to be the most interested in him right now are the Blackhawks and Ducks; thats not news. Theres nothing imminent on the Kesler front because I get the sense that Anaheim and Chicago believe theyre the only two teams in the running, therefore the offers arent good enough for what Vancouver wants to do. Vancouver isnt going to do this deal if they dont get the right amount, or at least not at the draft. And the other thing for the Canucks, like a lot of teams, theyre trying to move up and get the first overall pick. Right now Panthers GM Dale Tallon has three legitimate offers, which is up from one. But dont confuse legitimate offers with a deal that he would absolutely make right now. Right now its more likely hell be using the first overall pick to make a selection than trading it. Is Dan Boyle about to get a lot of legitimate offers? Dreger: It was a brisk day in the Boyle camp, at least eight teams have made contact with Boyles representatives, and many of those teams will meet with his representatives on Thursday and that of course includes the Maple Leafs.
