INDIANAPOLIS -- Paul George beat the odds to become an NBA star. Custom Boston Red Sox Nike Jerseys . Hell have to do it all over again to play next season. Two weeks after a gruesome compound fracture of his right leg, George said Friday he remains hopeful that he can make it back onto the court late next season even though its a longshot. George called the injury a "freak accident." "All I can do at this point is sleep, watch TV and lay down, so its tough for me. Im used to being active, lifting weights, being in the gym," George said as his mother and father watched his news conference from a few feet away. "At the same time, I want to be part of this team. The last thing I want to do is feel like Im not part of this team because Im out. Im holding out hope, just personally, because I want to be back." George has thrived in the underdog role, going from mostly overlooked prep recruit to Fresno State star. He was impressive enough in college to catch the attention of Pacers president of basketball operations Larry Bird, who took him No. 10 overall in 2010. After his third season in the league, George was named the NBAs Most Improved Player. Hes led the Pacers in scoring, played in the All-Star Game and made the leagues all-defensive team each of the past two seasons. Paul was injured Aug. 1 during a U.S. national team scrimmage in Las Vegas when he his right leg collided with the basketball stanchion, snapping it in two. "When I looked down and saw bone sticking out, I knew it was bad," George said, later describing the feeling as having his leg lit on fire. "Id felt pain before, but I have never felt pain like that. So I knew it was bad." George said he has watched the replay once and wont watch it again. Doctors have told the 24-year-old star that he is likely to make a full recovery, though it will take a full year. Bird and coach Frank Vogel said earlier this week they did not plan to have George in 2014-15. George said he thinks he can change those plans -- if he can avoid risking another injury. George said doctors placed pins in his knee and ankle to stabilize a rod that was inserted into the injured leg, which was broken in two places. Three days later, he returned to his suburban Indianapolis home where is now recuperating in a cast and hobbling around on crutches. While no firm timetable has been set for his return, George said he could begin strengthening his right knee as early as next week. Thats little consolation to the workaholic. "This was going to be a huge year for me, so for me not to be out there at the beginning, I do feel a little guilty about that," George said. "It hurts." The immediate question that went through Georges mind was whether he did something wrong on the play. Some have questioned whether the NBAs highest-paid stars, such as George, should risk injury while representing their country or whether the stanchion was too close to the court. George didnt offer an opinion about the stanchion but did make one thing clear: He wants to play for the 2016 Olympic Team. "I think its real unfair, the criticism they are getting because it was a freak accident. No ones really been injured since USA Basketball has been here," George said. "It was a freak accident. Freak accidents happen." George thanked the national team, players around the league, those within the Pacers organizations and fans for their outpouring of support. A small contingent of Georges fan club waited outside Bankers Life Fieldhouse to catch a glimpse of him pulling into the arenas underground garage. A handful of teammates also showed up at the news conference. George recently received clearance from the NBA to change his number from 24 to 13, giving him the much more marketable moniker of PG-13. To do that, he splurged for about 600 of his own jerseys, which he donated to his high school and a local Boys & Girls Club near his hometown of Palmdale, California. Otherwise, hes not planning to change a thing. "I never play the game with any hesitation, thats probably why Im in this cast," George said, drawing laughter. "Im not looking at this as something negative for my career. Its something I can overcome and it will be a great opportunity to sit back and watch and learn the game." DETROIT -- Former All-Stars Omar Vizquel and Wally Joyner will be part of new Detroit manager Brad Ausmus coaching staff with the Tigers. White Sox Jerseys China . Vizquel was hired as the first-base coach and Joyner as hitting coach, the Tigers said Monday. Vizquel also will serve as an infield and baserunning coach. Detroit also announced Mick Billmeyer will be the teams bullpen coach and Matt Martin will be a defensive co-ordinator. Vizquel -- the major league record holder for career fielding percentage by a shortstop with over 1,000 games at the position -- was the roving infield instructor in the Los Angeles Angels minor league system for one season before joining Detroits staff. Hes been praised as better than Robert Griffin III after some and derided as nothing better than a career backup after others.Thats an awful lot of zigzag to handle, even for an even-keeled guy.Its been tough, Cousins said Thursday. Even my rookie year, when you only get a couple of spots and everybodys going to try to write the book on who you are as a quarterback.Cousins stock plummeted with a second-half meltdown that included four interceptions in last weeks blowout loss to the New York Giants. He looked nearly as bad as, well, Tom Brady, who finished the game on the bench in the New England Patriots 27-point loss Monday night.Brady, of course, has earned the right to get more chances. Cousins will also have the opportunity to rebound, if only because Griffin is sidelined at least a few more weeks with a dislocated ankle. Besides, Cousins appeared on the verge of forcing a Cousins-Griffin quarterback controversy after back-to-back solid games before the Giants debacle.Where will it all end? Cousins would sure like to know. How do you deal with that? You know, I dont know that I have the perfect answer, Cousins said. Im the kind of guy who would like to know my future and like to know how things are going to play out. I dont. So I try not to ride the roller coaster. I try to be as consistent as I can possibly be and I think that approach is going to help me have success in this league. But, as a quarterback, youre going to have things that go your way, youre going to have times where its going to be tough. I think the guys that last are the guys who can ride it out and stay consistent no matter what.Cousins harrdly has the ideal setting for redemption. Wholesale White Sox Jerseys. The Redskins are hosting the disruptive defence of the Super Bowl champion Seattle Seahawks on Monday night. Cousins prides himself on preparing the same way every week, but he admitted that the Giants loss is one that will always sit with him in a bad way. Against the Seahawks, hell have to guard against playing a hesitant game in the wake of the four-pick defeat.Thats a natural response to having a game like I had last week, a young quarterback especially, Cousins said. Human nature would say youre going to be a little more careful, but if you do that I think you get in trouble more than you help yourself. The Giants defensive backs said their day was made easier because Cousins was staring down some of his receivers. Thats certainly something not to repeat against All-Pro cornerback Richard Sherman and the Seahawks.Hes still progressing, coach Jay Gruden said. Hes very young with limited starts. Thats going to come with experience. Staring down receivers is part of it that you have to learn from. If you stare down receivers against these guys, youre going to throw more than four picks a€” youre going to throw about 11.Notes: Gruden said Tracy Porter has tweaked the right hamstring injury that kept the cornerback out of the first three games. Porter was not on the field for practice. ... TE Niles Paul (concussion) took part in a portion of practice but has yet to be cleared for contact. ... LT Trent Williams (right knee), Shawn Lauvao (right knee) and TE Jordan Reed (left hamstring) were also among those limited.___AP NFL websites: www.pro32.ap.org and www.twitter.com/AP_NFL___Follow Joseph White on Twitter: http://twitter.com/JGWhiteAP ' ' '

ST. Nike NFL Jerseys Outlet . PETERSBURG, Fla. -- Joe Torre, Tommy Lasorda and Jim Leyland were among the many friends and family members at Tropicana Field on Saturday to celebrate the life of longtime baseball man Don Zimmer. The tribute was held before the Tampa Bay Rays played Seattle. Zimmer, a senior adviser for the Rays, died Wednesday at 83 in a hospital in nearby Dunedin. Both teams wore Zimmers No. 23 Brooklyn Dodgers jersey as they lined up along the foul lines. Fans stood and cheered at the end of a video tribute. There is no funeral or other memorial service planned. More than 20 family members, including Zimmers wife "Soot" -- they were married at home plate during a minor league game in 1951 -- also attended. "A great life," Soot Zimmer said. "No regrets." Son Tom Zimmer, a scout with the San Francisco Giants, caught the ceremonial first pitch thrown by granddaughter Whitney Goldstein. Torre says Zimmer was "one of a kind" and "an institution." Zimmer was Torres bench coach for four World Series championships with the Yankees. "His loss creates a void in my life," Torre said. "I hired a coach who became a family member, basically. I think baseball is just going to miss the presence of him. He was a big teddy bear, theres no question about it." Zimmer spent 66 years in baseball as a player, manager, coach and executive. "I just hope that people remember what a great baseball man this guy was," Leyland said. "He was a character, but he wasnt somebody that you laughed at when you understood how much this guy knew about baseball. His passion for the game and his passion for people." "Its kind of an ironic day," he said. "Todays the day of the Belmont, as you know, and everybody knows how he liked horses. Family came first, baseball second, horses third. So, family is here today, were going to have a ballgame and the Belmont is today." Zimmer convinced Torre not to make ties mandatory when the Yankees travelled. Torre, who wore a tie Saturday with horses on it, removed it when the subject came up during the ceremony. Yankees star Derek Jeter made a video statement. So did Yankees manager Joe Girardi, whose first big league manager was Zimmer with the Chicago Cubs. "He made an impact like no else has," Texas Rangers senior adviser Tom Giordano said. The ceremony ended with "Take Me Out to the Ball Game" played on a bagpipe. "Perfect," Tom Zimmer said. "Emotional." He signed a four-year deal with Schalke. https://www.chinajerseysnfl.us/ . LOUIS -- St.TORONTO - It took just seconds for the Portland Timbers to lose their captain Saturday. Will Johnson was stretchered off in the first minute of an MLS game against Toronto FC. He broke the fibula and tibia in his right leg after going shin-on-shin in a 50-50 challenge with Toronto fullback Mark Bloom that saw both players sliding to get at the ball near midfield and close to the Portland bench. The 27-year-old Canadian international midfielder, curled on the ground, immediately grabbed his leg just below the knee and motioned to be substituted. He remained in Toronto after the game to have surgery.Players know, Toronto coach Greg Vanney said later. Players know and he knew immediately (he was hurt). That was for me, the moment, the second I knew he was in trouble. It was a sad moment because I think hes a great player for this league ... I hope he recovers well and quickly.Johnson, a no-nonsense midfielder in his own right, was taken off the field after a lengthy delay. Toronto midfielder Michael Bradley, a close friend of Johnsons, stood by as the Portland player was treated before leaving on a stretcher and taken to hospital.I didnt get a great view, not sure if Ill watch it again. said Portland coach Caleb Porter. It was a tackle, two guys went in and he got the wrong end of it.It was unfortunate and tough but I was really pleased with the way the guys responded, sometimes you lose your captain and it sends your group into a funk but I thought we responded really well.Portland scored in the 13th and 16th minutes to go ahead 2-0 but gave up three goals in the second half, including the 89th-minute winner via a Bradley free kick to lose 3-2.Bloom also went down in the collision with the Toronto-born Johnson but was able to continue. For me it was just a matter of getting up and walking it off, Bloom said later. Unfortunately for him, it was more intense. There was no call on the play. They both went down just a little bit late for me, Vanney said of the collision. And what happens is theres so much force into the challenge when guys go down a little bit late. Neither guy was going after each other. The ball was just there and they were both going for it.Its a matter of inches and millimetres, one guy getting a broken leg and one guyy being able to walk away. Fake Nike NFL Jerseys. Its a sad moment.Growing up in Chicago, Bradley played youth soccer with Johnson and the two have also been teammates in Europe. They were both in each others weddings. As a player and as a competitor you hate to see anybody get hurt. But when its one of your closest friends its not nice at all, said Bradley. They both went in very hard. On the one hand you expected that they were both going to pop right up and on the other hand that play had a harder tone to it.If you were close to it, you could hear a€” the way they crashed into each other a€” you kind of knew that that was a hard one. I thought the medical staff and everybody did a good job. More than anything, at that moment, youre just trying to let him know youre there for him and make sure hes as calm and comfortable as possible. After the game, Bloom said his leg was throbbing but he was grateful it was nothing worse. It was just a situation where he took a bad touch, (the ball) got away from him. And at the beginning of the game you want to set a tone. So we both went in for the tackle. I thought we both went in clean, no one went in dirty. Its just unfortunate that someone had to come out like that. And Bloom tweeted: Good luck @WillJohnson04 in your recovery. Hope you get better quickly. God bless. The injury led to eight extra minutes at the end of the first half.More reaction was quick to follow via Twitter.Stay strong, @WillJohnson04 ... know you will be back better than ever, said Timbers owner Merritt Paulson. My thoughts and prayers to you @WillJohnson04, said Ben Zemanski, the Timber player who came on for Johnson.Wishing you a quick and healthy recovery, added Real Salt Lake goalie Nick Rimando. The five-foot-10, 160 pound Johnson was playing in his 29th game of the season and 177th of his MLS career. He has six goals this year. The injury and defeat overshadowed several Portland marks:a€” The Timbers tied their club MLS single-season record in goals (54).a€” The two goals in 16 minutes were the fastest to begin a match in the teams MLS history.a€” Midfielder Diego Chara became the first Timbers MLS player to surpass the 10,000 minutes played milestone in his Portland career.___Follow @NeilMDavidson on Twitter ' ' '

RALEIGH, N. Custom Arizona Diamondbacks Jerseys .C. -- Jeff Carter may never be a fan of having shootouts. Still, there is one scenario where he enjoys the format. "I like it when I score," Carter said. Carter was a happy man Friday night, scoring the shootout winner to lift the Los Angeles Kings to a 2-1 victory over the Carolina Hurricanes. Dwight King also scored for the Kings while Jonathan Quick made 27 saves. Jeff Skinner had Carolinas goal, and Cam Ward stopped 36 shots. Carter, who had scored four goals in his first four games of the season, went to his backhand in the shootout to beat Ward. Quick stopped Nathan Gerbe, Alexander Semin and Skinner in the shootout to make Carters goal hold up as the winner. "Hes a top-class goalie, and he showed it," King said of Quick. Ward, Carolinas No. 1 netminder, has yet to win a game this season -- both of the Hurricanes victories have come with back-up Anton Khudobin in net. King scored on a short-handed breakaway 13:26 into the third period, sliding the puck through Wards legs after Carolinas Justin Faulk turned the puck over near the Hurricanes blue line. Carolina tied the score 40 seconds later on the same power play when Skinner cleaned up a rebound off an Andrej Sekera shot from the point. Up until that sequence, there had been few scoring chances in the tight-checking affair. The Kings did pressure Ward in the opening minutes of the game, and the Hurricanes Eric Staal and Alexander Semin misfired on a two-on-one opportunity in the second. Otherwise, there wasnt much room to manoeuvr. "It wasnt 50 minutes of nothing -- it was a pretty good game," said Los Angeles coach Darryl Sutter. Los Angeles power play had some dangerous moments in the third period, but the unit couldnt beat Ward. The Kings also had a power play in overtime but couldnt generate many chances. Los Angeles came into the game having scored on 31.2 per cent of their man advantages this season. For his part, Carolina coach Kirk Muller was pleased with his teams effort. It was the first of 20 back-to-back games for the Hurricanes -- Carolina won 3-2 on Thursday night in Washington. "I think thats a game that shows our team is growing together," Muller said. "Obviously, we didnt get the extra point, but you know three (points) out of four -- thats pretty good." The Kings dominated in the faceoff circle, winning 69 per cent of the draws. Elias Lindholm, Carolinas first-round draft pick in the summer, suffered an upper-body injury in the second period and did not return. NOTES: Carolinas Staal played in his 695th NHL game for the Hurricanes, moving into fourth place on the franchises all-time list. . The Packers also placeed reserve cornerback James Nixon (knee) on injured reserve, and activated safety Sean Richardson and defensive end Jerel Worthy from the reserve/physically unable to perform list. ALAMEDA, Calif. Fake Nike Shoes . -- For a franchise with a frustrating history of post-season flops, the latest collapse sent the San Jose Sharks to a new low. The Sharks became the fourth team in NHL history to lose a best-of-seven series after winning the first three games, getting overwhelmed at home in a 5-1 loss in Game 7 on Wednesday night to start a pivotal off-season for a team looking to shed the label of playoff underachievers. "We obviously dont want to hear that kind of stuff, but what are we going to say? We were on the wrong side of history tonight," defenceman Brad Stuart said. "Its tough for us to argue with anything thats said. We let ourselves down, we let the fans down, we let everybody in our organization down. Its not a good feeling. Theres not really much else you can say about it." San Jose has the second most regular-season wins in the NHL the past 10 seasons but has never made it past the conference finals. There was the first-round loss to Anaheim in 2009 after posting the best record in the league in the regular season, second-round losses to inferior teams like Edmonton in 2006 and Dallas two years later, and three defeats in the conference final when that elusive Stanley Cup seemed so close. Yet this might have been the most bitter of all, considering it came against a fierce rival and after the Sharks looked so strong in taking a 3-0 series lead. "Every year you lose is pretty low, but this one is a type of series that will rip your heart out," forward Logan Couture said. "It hurts. Its going to be a long summer thinking about this one and what we let slip away." San Jose outscored the Kings 17-8 to win the first three games but was barely competitive in the final four contests. The Sharks were outscored 16-3 over the final 3 1/2 games to join Detroit (1942), Pittsburgh (1975) and Boston (2010) as the only teams to blow a 3-0 series lead. The only bright side might be that Detroit and Boston both won it all the year after their collapses. "Its just so disappointing that we were able to go up 3-0 and not find a way to have that killer instinct, to find a way to scrape and claw and win games like they did," Couture said. "Its tough saying it, but I think the better team won the series. They were better than us." The Sharks took the day off Thursday to regroup before going through the annual routine of exit meetings and cleanup on Friday where they will start looking for answers for why they fell short once again. Defenceman Dan Boyle might leave as a free agent and forward Marty Havlat could have the final year of his contract bought out. But the biggest questions will be about the status of coach Todd McLellan and general manager Doug Wilson. While the Sharks did a good job dealing with injuries to finish tied for the fourth-most points in the regular season, they couldnt get it done in the playoffs. "Im in charge, Im responsible for the group that performs on the ice," McLellan said. "I have to accept that responsibility. When we break down the series, Im not going to throw any individuals or group of individuals under the bus, because we lost it collectively. But Im responsible for that group." The biggest issue was the lack of production from the top players in the final four games. Captain Joe Thornton, linemate Brent Burns and Couture had no points in the final four games and Patrick Marleau and Joe Pavelski didnt have a goal or an assist in the last three. The power-play went 0-for-15 in the final three games, including four blown chances in the second period of Game 7 when the Sharks were either ahead or tied. It added up to a second straight Game 7 loss to the Kings. "We were a lot closer last year than we were this year," McLellan said. "Were kidding ourselves if we think we were closer this year, just because it went seven games. ... It wasnt even close. We had a core group of individuals that didnt get on the score sheet. Last year was a lot closer than it was this year." Fake Nike Shoes From China . TUCSON, Ariz. Nike Air Max 270 From China . -- The goal posts lying flat on the field, Arizonas fans lingered on the field, congregating around the locker room entrance nearly 30 minutes after rushing out of the stands. This was a big one for Arizona. For Oregon, it was a crushing blow, to its national title hopes and maybe its BCS bowl chances, too. KaDeem Carey ran for 206 yards and four touchdowns while becoming Arizonas all-time leading rusher, and the Wildcats pulled off a monumental upset by taking advantage of numerous Oregon miscues, shocking the fifth-ranked Ducks 42-16 on Saturday. "A good win, honestly," Arizona coach Rich Rodriguez said. "This was a great opportunity for our guys and they took it." It was hard to see this one coming. Arizona was coming off consecutive home losses, the most disappointing last weeks toe-stubbing against Washington State. Oregon had raced through most of its schedule, a loss to Stanford putting a dent in its national championship hopes, but a Rose Bowl bid still on the table. The Wildcats (7-4, 4-3 Pac-12) turned the tables on the fast-paced Ducks, eschewing the normal slow-it-down routine most teams play against them by keeping their foot on the throttle. With Carey bursting through the line to punish defenders and B.J. Denker dinking and dashing with a variety of fakes, the Wildcats jumped out to a quick 14-0 lead and kept going for their first win over a top-five team since knocking off No. 2 Oregon in 2007. Oregon (9-2, 6-2) gave the Wildcats plenty of help with three turnovers and turning it over twice more on downs to end its national title hopes and, possibly, its four-year run of BCS bowls. Carey was the workhorse for Arizona as he has been all season, carrying a school-record 48 times while scoring on runs of 6, 1, 9 and 2 yards to break Art Luppinos career record of 48 total touchdowns set from 1953-56. Carey also reached 3,913 career yards rushing, breaking the mark of 3,824 set by Trung Canidate from 1996-99. Denker threw for 178 yards and two touchdowns, ran for 102 more and Arizona had 304 yards rushing, a season-high against Oregon. "Its a great feeling," said Denker, who was 19 of 22 passing. "This is a crazy win for our program, for our coaching staff, for our players, for our seniors. Everything went great today." Not for Oregon. The normally high-flying Ducks couldnt keep up in the Wildcats final home game of the season. Oregon sputtered most of the day, showing only flashes of the offensive brilliance that had them No. 2 in total offence and third in scoring entering the game. Marcus Mariota threw for 308 yards and two touchdowns, but also had two interceptions, his first since Nov. 17, 2012, against Stanford. The Ducks outgained Arizona 506-482 in total yards, but couldnt overcome all the uncharacteristic miscues to lose consecutive road games for the first time since 2007. Earlier in the week, DeAnthony Thomas said it was no big deal for the Ducks to go to the Rose Bowl. After this debacle, thats out of reach, too. "It hurts," Mariota said. "I havent been blown out like this in my life. Mariotas first interception came on a spectacular play, kick-starting Arizona for the monumental upset. It came on Oregons first play from scrimmage, when Bralon Addison dropped a pass near the sideline. Arizona cornerback Shaquille Richardson snared the carom and flipped it back to teammate Scooby Wright as he was falling out of bounds. It ended Mariotas Pac-12 record streak of passes without an interception at 353 and Carey followed with a 6-yard touchdown run. Oregons next drive ended with another drop, this one by DeAnthony Thomas on what would have been a big third-down gain. Arizona followed with another touchdown, a 9-yard pass from Denker to Nate Phillips along the left sideline to make it 14-0. The Wildcats kept marching on Oregons defence, moving 83 yards in 16 plays for a 5-yard touchdown pass from Denker, who set it up by faking the run, to Terrence Miller to make it 21-3. Arizona got one more chance after stopping Oregon on downs, ripping off 59 yards in 42 seconds for Careys second TD, a 1-yard run that made it 28-9 at halftime. The Wildcats defence wasnt bad, either. The Ducks needed over eight minutes to get their first first down and when they finally got a drive going, had to settle for Matt Wogans 33-yard field goal after a holding call against tight end Pharaoh Brown negated Mariotas 6-yard TD run. Oregon raced down for a 1-yard touchdown pass from Mariota to Brown in the second quarter, but the final two drives of the half ended in failure: Thomas Tyner lost a fumble and Mariota came up short on fourth-and-2 when he was stripped of the ball. "Obviously, how we started, in every phase, that is 100 per cent my fault," Oregon coach Mark Helfrich said. "I have to figure out exactly which levers to pull and which buttons to push on." Once word of the upset-in-the-making spread around campus, the student section began to fill up. And the Wildcats finished it off. The Ducks opened second half by failing on a fourth-and-2 at Arizonas 6 and did nothing else until Mariota hit Josh Huff on a 2-yard touchdown pass early in the fourth quarter. Arizona answered with a bruising 75-yard drive, capped by Careys 49th career TD, a 2-yard run that put Arizona up 42-16. Richardson sealed the upset with an interception near the goal line late in the fourth quarter and the fans streamed from the stands once the final horn sounded. "Those seniors will have a memory that will last them a long time," Rodriguez said. And leave the Ducks with one that will sting for quite a while. Cheap Nike Air Max 270 . ATLANTA -- Even facing its biggest deficit since November, No. Stitched Angels Jerseys . 1 Florida never panicked. The Gators know their defence will never let them down. Swarming relentlessly in the second half, Florida rallied from 10 points down and defeated Tennessee 56-49 in the semifinals of the Southeastern Conference tournament Saturday. Patric Young scored 16 points and Scottie Wilbekin added 14, but this victory had nothing to do with what happened at the offensive end. It was all about what Tennessee faced when it had the ball after halftime. The Volunteers made only 5-of-20 shots with 11 turnovers, and things really got grim down the stretch as they were stifled time and time again -- making just one of their last 11 attempts from the field, while turning it over five times. Everywhere they turned, it seemed like a Florida player was waiting, ready to take a swipe at the ball. "We didnt really switch anything up," Wilbekin said. "We just tried to go into an extra gear." Florida (31-2) extended its school-record winning streak to 25 in a row after being down 35-28 at halftime. "This group has a resiliency and a competitiveness," coach Billy Donovan said. "We have our faults. Were not perfect. But Ive never walked off the court saying, Wow, these guys didnt get after it, they didnt compete." Tennessee (21-12) had a chance to post its most impressive win of the season. Now, its post-season fate rests in the hands of the NCAA selection committee. The Gators, improving to 20-0 against SEC opponents, advanced to face Kentucky in the championship game Sunday. The second-seeded Wildcats defeated Georgia 70-58, but have lost twice to Florida this season. "Ive seen a lot of teams. Ive watched a lot of teams from afar," Tennessee coach Cuonzo Martin said of the Gators. "Theyre one of the best defensive teams in the country." Jordan McRae led Tennessee with 15 points, while Jarnell Stokes had 13 points and seven rebounds. The final minutes were marred by a number of questionable calls, including a technical on Tennessees Jeronne Maymon for disputing that he threw a shoulder. It was the fifth foul on Maymon, knocking him out of the game with more than 4 1-2 minutes remaining after he scored 10 points and grabbed nine rebounds. Then with just over a minute left, there was a long break while the officials went to the replay to rule on a potential flagrant foul against Wilbekin, even though it wasnt even clear if he touched a Tennessee player while swinging his arms high. "I think my elbow nicked his chin a little bit," Wilbekin said with a slight grin. "He did a good job of selling it." It didnt matter at the end. The Gators defeated Tennessee for the third time this season, each one following the same plot line. The Vols held their own in the first half, only to get dominated by Florida in the second. The cumulative second-half score in the three games was Florida 103, Tennessee 60 -- including a 28-14 edge on Saturday. Despite the loss, the Vols are confident of their NCAA chances based on one of the nations toughest schedules and an RPI in the low 40s. "I feel like the statement was already made before coming into this game," Stokes said. In the first half, at least, Tennessee certainly looked worthy of a spot in the 68-team field. The Vols were the first team to lead Florida by double digits since the first of its two losses, at Wisconsin on Nov. 12. Wilbekin cut the deficit to seven at halftime with a buzzer-beating 3-pointer, but Florida still went to the locker room facing its second-biggest deficit of the season at the midway point. Not that the Gators were ruffled by being in that position -- it was the eighth time they had trailed at the break, and theyve now come back to win six in a row. "I told the guys at halftime, Weve been in this situation before," Wilbekin said. "We know what it takes to win in the second half." Tennessee should know. The Vols stayed right with Florida before halftime in both regular-season meetings, only to get blown out 67-41 in Gainesville and fall 67-58 in Knoxville. Wilbekin, Floridas senior leader, didnt have his usual stellar game though he did go 3 of 7 from 3-point range. He was definitely off in the first half, throwing up an airball on an off-balance shot from the baseline and barely grazing the rim with another attempt. But his defence was there all the way. As for regular Olympic spectators, theyre being warned that most travel insurance policies wont cover acts of terrorism or war. The Games in southern Russia, which run from Feb. 7-23, are being staged amid unprecedented security and under global warnings of danger.HOUSTON - The first two times the Houston Texans had the No. 1 overall pick in the draft, they chose quarterback David Carr and defensive end Mario Williams. Odds are that theyll use this years top choice on one of those two positions again. South Carolina defensive end Jadeveon Clowney is widely considered the best player available in this years draft. Pairing him with 2012 Defensive Player of the Year J.J. Watt could give the Texans the best 1-2 pass-rushing punch in the NFL. The problem is that while Houston could use another game-changing defensive player, the need at quarterback is more dire. The Texans traded Matt Schaub in the off-season after a terrible year in which he was benched after six games. The Texans signed veteran Ryan Fitzpatrick in the off-season, but he probably isnt the long-term solution to their quarterback woes. Several talented quarterbacks in this draft have questions attached to them concerning whether they are cant-miss prospects worthy of the No. 1 pick. Considered the best of the crop are Texas A&Ms Johnny Manziel, Louisvilles Teddy Bridgewater and Blake Bortles of Central Florida. Some worry that Manziels size will be a detriment in the NFL. Bridgewater had a bad pro day. Bortles has taken criticism because of his limited mobility. Manziel is somewhat of a folk hero in Texas after winning the Heisman Trophy in 2012. Billboards imploring the Texans to "Keep Johnny Football in Texas" dot the freeways around Houston, and Manziel, of course, has said hed love to play here. Though the team is under different management than in 2006, Houston is unlikely to let public sentiment about not letting the homegrown player get away sway its decision. The Texans passed on former Texas quarterback Vince Young, who grew up in Houston and led the Longhorns to a national title, in favour of Williams the last time they had the first pick. Houston general manager Rick Smith did say this week his team would consider trading out of the top spot. "If we take the first pick, we know who we want," Smith said. "(But) we are obviously open to moving out of the first pick, if in fact there is an opportunity for us to do so and if we think that is in the best interest of thee organization. Angels Jerseys China. " Five things to know about the Texans heading into the draft: LATE-ROUND QBs: If the Texans do use their first pick on Clowney, recent history has shown they could still pick up a solid (or better) starting quarterback later in the draft. San Franciscos Colin Kaepernick was chosen in the second round in 2011, and Seattles Russell Wilson was taken in the third round a year later. "I think theres an idea of a traditional quarterback that is successful in the NFL and I think those two examples are guys that dont necessarily fit the ideal mode. And I think theyve also given people some confidence that you dont necessarily need to have a traditional type of quarterback to be successful in our league," Smith said. CANT GET ENOUGH: Though Smith shied away from discussing specific needs of his team on draft day, he did acknowledge one thing. "There are two positions that I never think you can have too many of: corners and tackles," he said. NEW PROCESS: Smith is adjusting to new coach Bill OBrien after working on the draft with Gary Kubiak, who was fired in December, for the last seven seasons. "The opportunity to step outside of that comfort zone, and learn something, gives me a chance to grow personally and professionally," Smith said. "That was a fun part of it." NO LOVE FOR Defence: Williams was the last defensive player selected with the first overall pick when Houston chose him in 2006. Before that, the last player on that side of the ball to go first was Penn State defensive end Courtney Brown to the Browns in 2000. The Texans have overwhelmingly gone with defence in the early rounds, choosing defenders with 14 of their 17 first- and second-round picks since 2004. FINE WITH THE MOVE: This years draft was pushed back from its usual time in April to May because Radio City Music Hall was unavailable. Smith was perfectly happy with the change for at least this year. "To have the first pick, the extra time has been good," Smith said. "I think that I enjoyed the schedule and the rhythm of the draft in April and would probably want to see it moved back, but Im enjoying it the fact that its in May this year for our selfish purposes." PHILADELPHIA -- The Philadelphia 76ers heard all the whispers before the season started. Kenny Rogers Rangers Jersey . They were predicted by most experts to be among the worst teams in the league, if not the worst. Through six games, the Sixers are choosing not to listen. Evan Turner scored 22 points and grabbed 10 rebounds, Tony Wroten added 18 points and the Sixers cruised past the Cleveland Cavaliers 94-79 on Friday night, overshadowing the return of Andrew Bynum. Thaddeus Young added 16 points, while James Anderson and Michael Carter-Williams had 11 each for the Sixers, who ended a two-game losing streak and improved to 4-2. Spencer Hawes scored 10 points. "I think the biggest thing is were not listening to anyone on the outside and were just coming to work ready to play," said Young, who added eight rebounds. "We have a young, hard-working group of guys in here and we all have a lot to prove. We just need to stick together and I think our confidence is growing with each win." Wrotens offensive output was a career-best. "It was a great feeling," Wroten said. "Hard work has paid off. Getting an opportunity to play is a blessing." The buzz leading into the game was the return of Bynum, who signed a two-year, $24 million contract with the Cavaliers in July. Bynum had been acquired by the Sixers in a four-team, 12-player trade in the summer of 2012. But the two-time All-Star centre never played for the Sixers because of bilateral bone bruises in both knees. He had season-ending arthroscopic surgery in March and wound up signing the incentive-laden deal with the Cavaliers as a free agent. Booed every time he touched the ball, Bynum played 18 minutes in a reserve role and finished with four points and five rebounds. "It was just another game for me," Bynum said. Bynum said he wasnt bothered by the chilly reception from the Philadelphia fans. "I thought it was a little weak," Bynum said. "I thought it was going to be much worse. It wasnt." Dion Waiters led the Cavaliers with 18 points while Jarrett Jack and C.J. Miles added 13 each. Tristan Thompson had 13 points and 16 rebounds and Kyrie Irving contributed 10 points on 4-for-17 shooting for Cleveland, which fell to 2-4 with all four losses coming on the road. "We need some grittiness and some toughness to surface, especially on the road," Cavaliers coach Mike Brown said. "Right now, its not happening and I dont know if its because we dont have the home crowd giving us a little extra energy or what it is." The Sixers built a 19-point lead early in the fourth quarter. Cleveland never got within single digits the rest of the way. The Cavaliers led by as many as 14 points in the first half, but the Sixers finished the half strong and took a 44-42 advantage into the locker room. NOTES: Cavaliers F Anthony Bennett left the game with 8:37 remaining in the second quarter and didnt return because of a sprained right shoulder. Bennett, the No. 1 overall pick in Junes draft, was scoreless in six minutes and remains 1 for 20 from the field through six games. . Sixers C Daniel Orton missed the game because of right knee soreness. . The Sixers wore red, white and blue headbands in honour of Veterans Day, which is Monday. Mike Minor Jersey . Peter Dawson took his long before he started the job. "I was playing an American one year at Oxford Golf Club, and he introduced me to this travelling mulligan," Dawson said.GREENBURGH, N.Y. -- Henrik Lundqvist had his game-day face on at practice. He still smiled and answered all the questions thrown at him Monday about the Los Angeles Kings -- the New York Rangers long-awaited opponent in the Stanley Cup finals. "Exciting. Long flight," the star goalie said Monday before he and his teammates headed to California for New Yorks first appearance in the finals since winning the title in 1994. "East Coast-West Coast. Ill look forward to this matchup." If there wasnt already enough pressure on Lundqvist to lead his team to the championship, he is now part of the hype machine heading into Game 1 on Wednesday. Headlines are screaming: "King Henrik vs. the Kings." "Clever," he said with a slight laugh. The Rangers have been waiting since Thursday to find out if they would face the 2012 Stanley Cup-winning Kings or the defending champion Chicago Blackhawks in the finals. They took two days off before returning to practice on Sunday. Most of the players said they watched at least part of Los Angeles third road Game 7 win of this playoff year that night. So practice on Monday had a bit more focus for the Rangers as they knew exactly who was standing in their way next. "Any team you play at this time of year is a good hockey team, especially a team that has kind of been around the playoffs and the Stanley Cup finals a couple of times in the last few years," forward Derek Stepan said. "This is a very good hockey club, We have a tough challenge in front of us." The Kings returned to Los Angeles after their 5-4 come-from-behind overtime win at Chicago and took Monday off. They have played a record 21 playoff games before the finals -- one more than the Rangers, who eliminated the Montreal Canadiens in six games during the Eastern Conference finals. Before this year, no team that played seven games in each of the first two rounds had reached the finals. Now, both clubs have done it. The Kings taking it a step further with a trio of seven-game series. "When you knew you were playing L.A., the adrenaline started coming a little bit more," Lundqvist said. "Youve been thinking about this ever since you beat Montreal, but now knowing were going to L.A., it was easier to focus on whats coming. "You just try to now come back to the focus and mindset you had last week. Its been nice to get a little break heree and get away from it a little bit because its been that intense. Buddy Bell Rangers Jersey. " Both teams will be back to the grind on Tuesday for media day, leading up to the opener the following night. The Rangers and Kings split two games during the regular season -- with each team winning in the other clubs building -- but they havent seen each other since Los Angeles 1-0 victory at Madison Square Garden on Nov. 17. New York opened with a five-game Western road trip as final renovations were being made at the Garden. Its only win during that stretch was a 3-1 victory at Los Angeles on Oct. 7 -- a 28-save performance by Lundqvist. "Great goaltending. Great defence. Great forwards. Great special teams," Kings coach Darryl Sutter provided as a quick scouting report on the Rangers. "Were up against it again." The Rangers know that many, if not most, in the hockey world arent giving them much of a chance to win the Cup. They neither mind nor embrace the role of underdog. They have heard it before, and have just gone about their business. "When you get into the NHL, you know how hard it is to win," forward Brad Richards said. "The underdog thing and the favourite thing really doesnt mean anything in the locker room. You have to go out and play." New York needed seven games to get past division rival Philadelphia in the first round. The Rangers werent expected to beat Pittsburgh from the start, and certainly not after they fell into a 3-1 series deficit. Montreal was coming off a stirring seven-game victory over defending Eastern Conference champion Boston, so odds makers favoured the Canadiens in their matchup against New York, too. But here the Rangers are as the last team standing. "To put it quite simply, were up against the team that won the Stanley Cup two years ago that just beat the defending Stanley Cup champions, that without a doubt is battle-tested," Rangers coach Alain Vigneault said. "We know exactly what we have to do. If we want to have a chance, were going to have to bring our best hockey of the year. Its as simple as that. "Weve had a couple of good practices, were going to have another good one tomorrow, and were going to be ready come Wednesday." He added one more thing as he left the media interview tent while wearing his sandals, to go prepare for a cross-country flight. "Bring your shorts," he said. ' ' '

Just look for a big smile atop a compact five-foot-nine, 155-pound body. The 28-year-old Florida native is also hard to miss on the field -- an elegant, mobile shortstop with a slick glove. A career .230 hitter in the minors, Diaz is not likely to stick with a major league club that already has a superstar at shortstop in Jose Reyes, the versatile Ryan Goins at second base and Maicer Izturis as a utility infielder. But his skills are appreciated and have been on display again in the Blue Jays organization after a one-year stint with the Boston Red Sox and former Jays manager John Farrell. "Id heard about them," Toronto manager John Gibbons said of Diazs fielding talents. "Everybodys always said youre not going to find a better shortstop or defender, period. You can put him anywhere out there and hes definitely shown that this spring." Diaz has appeared in the infield and outfield this spring, often as a late inning replacement. He has turned heads with a nifty double play and scored the 10th-inning game-winner on some aggressive base-running in a 4-3 victory over the Baltimore Orioles last Sunday. As of Wednesday, he was hitting .077 with one hit in 13 at-bats this spring. He knows defence is his ticket in baseball. "Ive always love to be out there making plays and doing acrobatic things," he said. "Luckily thats kept me in the game for as long as it has." He was given No. 1 to wear by the Jays, the same number as former great Tony Fernandez. "Its a honour to be wearing that number," he said. "He was an unbelievable shortstop." A 12th-round pick -- 360th overall -- by the Jays in the 2006 draft out of North Carolina State, Diaz is happy to be back in the Toronto fold after his year away. "It feels like I never left," he said. "It feels like home. I was here for seven years and then I took a little hiatus with the Red Sox for a year." Boston had its moments, however. He was called up to the majors for the first time, "which was amazing," he said. He saw action in five games, with four at-bats. He had no hits but scored two runs. "I was there for a week . Replica Air Max. . Fortunately Im going to get a World Series ring and all that so Im really excited about that. It was a good time," he said. Coincidentally, Diazs debut in the majors came against Toronto and he threw out Reyes from third in Torontos first at-bat. He also scored the winning run against the Jays. These days his locker is just down the row from Reyes in a largely Spanish-speaking neighbourhood of the clubhouse. With a Dominican father and Puerto Rican mother, he grew up with Spanish as his first language. "This is my corner. These are my people," he said with a grin. Diaz says he tries not to think of where he might end up. The goal is the big leagues and the plan is to play as well as possible. After that, que sera sera. "Make sure youre healthy and just try to be ready when the time comes," Diaz said by way of summary. "Im just out there trying to show I can help the team in any way possible." Away from the field, Diaz is married with three daughters -- 10, eight and 16 months. The family makes its home in Dunedin with his wife and daughters joining Diaz "wherever Im at," when school breaks for the summer. "By now, theyre used to it ... Its a crazy fun life," he said. But it has not always been fun for Diaz. In 2011, he was one of the final cuts out of the Jays major league camp. He went to double-A ball and then triple-A in Las Vegas. "I was doing really well," he said. "I went to have dinner, took a cab and woke up in a hospital." There was an accident and Diaz suffered a concussion, lost some hearing and his two front teeth, among other injuries. His wife, then his fiancee, was on the side of the cab that got hit and took the brunt of the impact. She suffered broken ribs, a torn spleen, separated shoulder and cuts. "It was pretty ugly," he said. "But luckily were healthy now." The injuries also took a toll on his playing career. "That took me out of it for a couple of months," he said. "That window, I felt like, was a good chance of being called up at the time." Two false front teeth have not impacted Diazs smile. He seems to savour every baseball moment. ' ' '

Colin Wilson had two goals and an assist, and Mike Fisher scored a goal and helped set up two others in the Predators 6-4 victory over the Red Wings on Monday night. Fisher has three goals and three assists in Nashvilles past two games. Craig Smith, Nick Spaling, and Roman Josi also scored. "There was emotion. There were lots of goals, sways in momentum, all the things that you have in sports," Nashville coach Barry Trotz said. "From that standpoint, I thought it was real good." Justin Abdelkader, Pavel Datsyuk, Drew Miller, and Patrick Eaves scored for the Red Wings, who have lost two of three. The teams combined for five goals in a back-and-forth third period, but Nashville never relinquishing the lead. "We found a way to shut it down and get that next one when we needed it," Fisher said. "Thats the sign of a good team, playing against a good team like that, we can win one in the third there." Wilson put the Predators ahead 1:54 into the game with a wrist shot from the high slot that beat goalie Jimmy Howard on the glove side. It was the first shot on Howard, who had been out with a knee injury since Dec. 10. "It wasnt very pretty, and it was a battle all night," Howard said. "To be honest with you, I felt like I was behind the play a lot and just didnt get comfortable in their end. When I thought I was on the angles, I was off the angles." Detroit tied it at 3:00 of the first period when Abdelkader carried the puck from below the Nashville goal line to the left of the net and lifted a backhander high to the stick side of goalie Marek Mazanec. Nashville regained the lead when Smith scored his team-leading 11th goal at 9:50 of the first. Skating down the left side on a 3-on-2 rush, Smith pulled up near the left faceoff dot and beat Howard on the short side. Spaling made it 3-1 at 4:24 of the second, but Datsyuk got the Red Wings back within a goal just 35 seconds into the third period with a one-timed shot from the right circle. Fisher stretched Nashvilles lead back to two goals at 5:50. Wilson carried the puck behind the Detroit net, emerged on the right side, and found Fisher on the left side for a shot into an open net that gave him his 10th goal of the season. Fisher set himself up for a Gordie Howe hat trick when he fought Abdelkader late in the second period. Miller made it 4-3 at 11:30, but Wilsons second of the game was scored 37 seconds later off a nice feed from defenceman Seth Jones, who had two assists for the second consecutive game. "It was a good play by (Jones), and I just had to get it up over," Wilson said. "We are definitely more confident out there, and did well defensively." Eaves netted his first goal of the season at 14:52 during a power play to again bring the Red Wings within a goal, 5-4. Josis empty-net, power-play goal concluded the scoring. Henrik Zetterberg and Niklas Kronwall each had a pair of assists for Detroit. "There were times when we were doing a lot of good things and were sticking to the game plan, but for some reason were losing guys up ice and were not executing in our own zone," Kronwall said. "I thought we made it a little too easy for them at times. They got their chances a little bit too easily." NOTES: Nashville is 15-1-2 when it has scored first this season. ... "The goal was nnice, but unfortunately it didnt help us," Immobile said. China Jerseys Cheap. It was Roma captain Francesco Tottis 700th appearance for the club where he has spent his entire career. Torino goalkeeper Daniele Padelli had kept his side in the match with a number of fine saves, including a fantastic double stop to first deny Destro from point-blank range before turning Miralem Pjanics follow-up round his right post. Destro broke the deadlock four minutes from halftime, although he was marginally offside when he collected Gervinhos through ball, turned and fired past Padelli at full stretch. Immobile levelled seven minutes after the break with an extraordinary volley into the far side of the net from Giuseppe Vives long ball. The 24-year-old, who scored a hat-trick against Livorno at the weekend, now has one more goal than Juventus striker Carlos Tevez. TORONTO - The starting pitcher tossed a brilliant game. Sterling Brown Bucks Jersey . The manager made the correct move going to his bullpen. The Blue Jays lost the game. Whats the saying about best laid plans? All it took was one pitch. The scenario: Blue Jays up 2-0 with two outs in the top of the seventh inning. Marcus Stroman, to that point, had two-hit the White Sox. Only two White Sox hitters, Adam Dunn (three times) and Jose Abreu had reached base off the Toronto starter. Dayan Viciedo was due up as the go ahead run. Manager John Gibbons made the call to the bullpen for Dustin McGowan, his most trusted right-handed reliever not named Casey Janssen. McGowans first pitch was a slider. It was a cement-mixer, as seamheads like to say, in that the slider didnt break. It caught the entirety of the plate. Viciedo was looking for it, stayed back and launched a go-ahead three-run home run into the leftfield seats. There was no doubt where the ball was headed the moment Viciedo made contact. The White Sox led 3-2 and wouldnt cough it up en route to a 4-3 victory. Gibbons, it says here, made the right move going to McGowan. It gave Viciedo a different look. It allowed Stroman to leave the game feeling good about his performance. The result, clearly, was undesirable. The strategy made sense. Still, Gibbons admitted he second-guessed himself. "Yeah, of course," he said. "I mean, if you could do things over you leave him in but my thinking was (Stroman) pitched his butt off, its unchartered territory, you dont want him to lose the game right there. Thats the way it goes. You always look back on things like that. I had a plan. It just didnt work." The Blue Jays bullpen blew its 10th save of the season, which puts it in the middle of the pack. Pittsburghs 14 blown saves rank as the worst in the majors. Torontos number is made less hideous when you factor in that six of the blown saves came in a span of 15 games from mid-April to early May. Yet, after McGowan was tagged with Chicagos third and fourth runs on Saturday, Torontos bullpen ERA climbed to 4.45. Thats fifth-worst in baseball. The late-game meltdown sullied the second consecutive strong start by Stroman, who was coming off an eight-inning, four-hit performance in a win over the Yankees on Monday. "Its tough to deal with but its part of baseball," said Stroman of the Viciedo home run. "I have 100 per cent faith in Dustin to come in and get that out every time. He makes a pitch like he knows he can and were not even having this conversation. I know McGowans going to be right back to it. Im not worried about it. Hes been great for us all year, coming out of the pen, so Im not stressing about it at all." The Jays were held to two runs, a Darin Mastrioanni two-run homer in the fourth, on four hits over seven innings by White Sox ace Chris Sale. He picked up the win to run his record to 7-1. ABREU IMPRESSES BLUE JAYS Jose Bautista was planning to speak to Jose Abreu about taking part in the home run derby, part of the All-Star Game festivities on July 14 in Minneapolis. Manager John Gibbons is impressed with the 27-year-old Cuban rookie, whose 25 home runs tie him with Edwin Encarnacion and the Orioles Nelson Cruz for the most in baseball this season. "A pretty good looking player," said Gibbons. "The numbers speak for themselves. Those kids that come over from Cuba, theyre all pretty damn good so that really shouldnt surprise anybody. They put a lot of money into him for a reason and theyre reaping the benefits right now. Hes got a nice, short, simple swing and hes producing with it." Abreu leads the majors with a .633 slugging percentage. To go with his 25 home runs, he has 16 doubles and a triple, meaning almost 57-percent of Abreus hits have gone for extra bases. Eric Bledsoe Jersey . The mixed zone is not a place to make friends. Eric Bledsoe Bucks Jersey . Claude Noel will be the man behind the bench when the team hits the ice of the MTS Centre to begin its inaugural season. https://www.bucksrookiesshop.com/Jason-Smith-City-Edition-Jersey/ .com) - Russell Westbrook and Kevin Durant combined for 51 points and the Oklahoma City Thunder took down the struggling Bucks 114-101 on Tuesday. The New York Rangers withstood early pressure from the Montreal Canadiens and goaltender Henrik Lundqvist was on top of his game as the New York Rangers took Game Two with a 3-1 win. Before the game started, the Canadiens had announced that G Carey Price would be out for the series, with a knee injury suffered in a collision with Rangers LW Chris Kreider, and head coach Michel Therrien made the decision to go with Dustin Tokarski in Prices place. Tokarski, 24, has posted a .921 save percentage in 56 games with Hamilton of the AHL since he was acquired from Tampa Bay last year, and stopped 88 of 93 shots (.946 SV%) in three games with the Canadiens this year, but Tokarski has also started 10 NHL games in his career, so the decision came with a certain amount of risk. Montreal opened the game asserting territorial control, with 24 of the first 34 unblocked shot attempts in the game. Habs LW Max Pacioretty got the Canadiens on the board first, 6:14 into the game, with his third goal in the past four games. At that point, the Canadiens were looking good. Only 17 seconds later, Rangers D Ryan McDonagh scored on a shot that deflected off D Josh Gorges and past Tokarski. McDonagh added an assist later, giving him six points in the first two games of the series. As the first period neared a close, the Rangers looked like they might be able to escape with a tie score despite getting the wrong end of the puck possession game, but then circumstances got even better for the Blueshirts. A quick-break three-on-two, following a defensive zone face-off, resulted in a goal for Rick Nash, the second straight game in which he has scored. Tokarski could have come across the crease quicker, perhaps but, even so, Nashs one-time snap shot was stoppable. It was the kind of goal for which Tokarski shouldnt really be blamed -- he didnt give up the three-on-two break -- but, especially in the playoffs, it was the kind off goal that comes under more scrutiny. Donte DiVincenzo Bucks Jersey. So the Canadiens, who might have been somewhat frustrated to end the first frame tied despite dominating play, werent even tied, they were down by a goal. Then, 8:03 into the second period, Rangers RW Martin St. Louis scored a power goal, with a rocket shot inside the post, and the Canadiens climb got much steeper. Montreal was stifled for much of the rest of the game, with a few surges, particularly on a power play, with Tokarski pulled, in the last four minutes, but Lundqvist was there to turn back any Habs attempts. In his last five games, Lundqvist has stopped 162 of 168 shpts (.964 SV%) and, over the past three seasons, has a .933 save percentage in the playoffs. Not exactly an easy head-to-head matchup for Tokarski to win. The Canadiens got LW Alex Galchenyuk back in the lineup -- his first game since suffering a knee injury April 9 against Chicago -- and the line of Brendan Gallagher, David Desharnais and Max Pacioretty was on for more than 86% of the 5-on-5 shot attempts when they were on the ice. D P.K. Subban had 18 shot attempts (nine on net, six blocked, three missed the net) and Gallagher had 13 attempts. More problematic for the Canadiens is that Thomas Vanek didnt register a shot on goal. In the past seven games, Vanek has registered either one or zero shots in six of them. Its not as if the Canadiens have altogether no hope, but its not an easy task to come back from a two-games-to-none series deficit, and doing so with questions in goal makes that scenario all the less likely. They will need a dramatically different performance in New York if they are going to reverse the path which is currently leading them to the offseason in short order.
