PHILADELPHIA -- Wayne Simmonds scored three goals and Steve Mason stopped 34 shots to lead the Philadelphia Flyers to a 5-2 win over the New York Rangers on Tuesday night, forcing a decisive Game 7 of their Eastern Conference playoff series. Nike Air Max 360 Canada . Theres little time for rest, too. The Flyers and Rangers play again Wednesday night at Madison Square Garden. Simmonds scored in the first period and twice more in the second for his first career post-season hat trick. Mason survived a busy first period and stopping 31 straight shots until Carl Hagelin scored late in the third. Mats Zuccarello also scored for New York in the final minute. By the third, Simmonds had already helped stake the Flyers to a 4-0 lead and the outcome was a mere formality. Erik Gustafsson also scored and Claude Giroux had an empty-netter for the Flyers, who will try for a second win in New York this series. Simmonds, a 28-goal scorer who had one in the first five games, completed the hat trick with 4:41 left in the second. With a short turnaround, Rangers goaltender Henrik Lundqvist was yanked for Cam Talbot to open the third period. Lundqvist stopped 19 of 23 shots. He couldnt stop Simmonds. Simmonds camped out in the dirty area, in front of the crease, and pounded home three short goals that had Flyers fans going wild. On the brink of elimination, about the only thing that could slow down the Flyers were their fans -- the game was delayed for a lengthy cleanup after they littered the ice with hats. Someone even threw a shoe. Outplayed for most of the series, the Flyers were lucky to escape the first period with a 1-0 lead. They were careless with the puck in their own zone and had nine turnovers, which led to a ton of work for Mason, who made 13 saves in the period. Simmonds put Philadelphia in front with his third hack at a rebound on a power play. Across the street, the rain-delayed Philadelphia Phillies rang the home run Liberty Bell in celebration of the goal. Simmonds, a 6-foot-2, 183-pound forward, was just warming up. Brayden Schenn stripped New Yorks Dan Girardi of the puck, and then lost control in front of the crease. Simmonds was perfectly positioned off to Lundqvists right side and pounded in the trickling puck for a 2-0 lead just 1:32 into the second. Simmonds again was just outside the crease to knock in his third goal late in the second for the 4-0 lead. After a sloppy first, the puck just seemed to bounce Philadelphias way. Gustafsson, who did not play the first five games, came storming out of the penalty box in the second period, his stick hit the puck in a flash and he scored for a 3-0 lead. "It was a lot of fun when I saw the puck come down to me," he said. "I think it took a fortunate bounce. I almost thought Lundqvist was going to get it, but luckily the puck went in." Mason, who had never won a post-season game until this season, was hardly challenged in the last two periods as he chased the shutout. He snared Benoit Pouliots point-blank shot in the second period and made an out-of-nowhere kick save against John Moore in the third to keep the comfortable lead. The Rangers had scored four goals in three other games this series. New York is 13-2 in series it has led 3-2, but the Rangers have lost 12 straight games in which they had a series lead. NOTES: Flyers D Nicklas Grossmann underwent surgery to repair tendon damage in his right ankle suffered in Game 4. He could miss up to 10 weeks. ... Ramirez is still hitting behind Puig, only now they are in the third and fourth spots, and the change is starting to generate positive results for manager Don Mattingly.CHICAGO -- Alejandro De Aza hit a two-run homer and Adam Eaton and Marcus Semien had two-run doubles, leading the Chicago White Sox to a 7-3 comeback victory over the Tampa Bay Rays on Monday night. White Sox slugger Jose Abreu, named American League co-player of the week earlier in the day, went 2 for 4 with a walk and an RBI, his 32nd. But it was the lesser trio that did most of the damage, driving in five of the seven runs. The White Sox (14-13) move above .500 by taking three of four from Tampa. It was Chicagos third series win this season. Andre Rienzo (2-0) allowed five hits and three runs -- two earned -- in six innings to get the win. Jake Odorizzi (1-3) allowed eight hits and four runs in 4 1-3 innings to get the loss. Tampa Bay quickly jumped on top with a pair of runs in the first inning. Lead-off hitter Ben Zobrist doubled and scored as Rienzo threw away a sacrifice bunt attempt by Desmond Jennings. Rienzo was credited with two errors on the play. The first error was for not picking the ball up cleanly and the second was for throwing it down the right field line. The oddities continued as the No. 3 hitter, Matt Joyce, drove home Jennings from second base on a sacrifice fly to centre. Eaton, the Chicago centre fielder, made a great leaping catch before crashing into the wall. He was a little shaken on the play and threw the ball while sitting on the ground. By the time the White Sox got the ball back in, Jennings had easily raced home. The White Sox struck back in the bottom of the second. Nike Air Max 95 Canada. Adam Dunn led off with a single and trotted home on a two-out homer by De Aza to tie the score. In the top of the fourth, David DeJesus doubled in Wil Myers for a 3-2 Tampa Bay lead, but Chicago answered with two in the bottom half to take a 4-3 lead. Alexei Ramirez tripled home Dayan Viciedo with none out to tie it. Two outs later, Semien hit a two-out double to snap the tie. Ten of Semiens 15 RBIs this season have come with two outs. Chicago broke the game open in the sixth. Eaton doubled in a pair of runs to make it 6-3. Abreus run-scoring single in the eighth capped the scoring. NOTES: Rays OF David DeJesus continues to battle left shoulder soreness and was the DH again Monday. . Theres still no timetable for the return of Chicago LHP Chris Sale (flexor muscle strain). "Hes playing catch, hes loosening up (and) feeling better each day," pitching coach Don Cooper said. . After RHP Scott Carroll pitched 7 1-3 strong innings to win his major league debut on Sunday, he went out to dinner with the 30 family and friends who attended the game. White Sox teammate Adam Dunn picked up the tab for the whole group. . White Sox remain home for a two-game series with the Detroit Tigers, LHP Jose Quintana (1-2) facing RHP Justin Verlander (3-1) in the opener Tuesday. Weve reflected on the inaugural Elimination Chamber Match and Sting biffing Triple H on his WWE debut, so now check out part two of our look at the top Survivor Series moments. NBA Jerseys China . This section has a lot of Bret Hart in it as we focus on the TWO times he was screwed at the event, while we also remember the rise of The Undertaker... Order WWE Survivor Series Book Sundays WWE pay-per-view online Read below for all that and some top Rock moments - and then watch Survivor Series 2016, live on Sky Sports Box Office on Sunday night. The Montreal Screwjob - 1997Survivor Series will be held in Canada for only the second time this weekend - and the Toronto event will have to go some to be as memorable as the last time the show headed to The Great White North. Two words: Montreal Screwjob. McMahon messing with Bret Hart remains one of the most talked-about incidents in WWE history and led to Hart distancing himself from the company for almost 10 years. A dejected Hart walks away from the ring McMahon called for referee Earl Hebner to ring the bell with then-WWE Champion Hart caught in his own move, the Sharpshooter, by challenger Michaels, despite the fact Hart had yet to tap out. The seething dethroned champion destroyed camera equipment, spat in McMahons face and headed for WWEs rival organisation WCW, where he won two world titles.Hart screwed by Hart - 1994 Hart lost the WWE Title to Bob Backlund in 1994 The Montreal Screwjob was not the first time Hart had been sucker-punched at Survivor Series - his own brother, Owen Hart, did it to him three years earlier. Bret was defending the WWE Title against the veteran Bob Backlund in a submission match, with The British Bulldog in Brets corner and Owen in Backlunds. Owen clotheslined Bret mid-match and then, with Backlund having locked in the crossface chickenwing, begged his parents to throw in Brets towel. Legendary wrestling trainer Stu refused but Helen did not, ending Brets agony but handing Backlund the belt. The Rocks in-ring debut - 1996 Rock - and his dodgy haircut - starred in 1996 Dwayne The Rock Johnson would probably wince if he saw the haircut he wore for his first WWE match - in fact, he did! The Peoples Champion was less than complimentary about his do while assessing his WWE bow on YouTube recently, comparing his cut to a Chia Pet. The Rock - or Rocky Maivia, as he was then known - made an impact on November 17, 1996, though, eliminating Crush and Goldust en route to becoming the sole survivor of a traditional elimination tag-team bout. A successful WWE career followed, albeit with a change of name - and hairstyle!Rise of The Undertaker - 1990 The Undertaker wrestles with Dusty Rhodes on his WWE debut The Phenom was also born at Survivor Series, debuting as the mystery partner of Ted DiBiase, Honky Tonk Man and Greg Valentine. Unlike The Rock, The Undertaker did not win the match for his team - he was countedout after chasing after opponent Dusty Rhodes - but did lay out Koko B.Ware with a Tombstone Piledriver, a move that quickly became his trademark, and Rhodes with a double axe-handle. Taker outdid himself a year later, though, defeating Hulk Hogan, albeit with the help of Ric Flair and a steel chair, to claim the first of his seven world titles in WWE.The Rock and Vince McMahon join forces - 1998 The Great One landed the WWE Title in 1998 The 1998 edition of Survivor Series is the only one not to feature a traditional elimination match, with the pay-per-view instead focusing on the Deadly Games tournament for the vacant WWE Title. The Rock triumphed to earn his first reign as world champion - but ventured to the dark side in order to prevail. The Great One seemed at a distinct disadvantage when he met the Vince McMahon-supported Mankind in the final, but a shock twist saw McMahon call for the referee to the ring the bell before Mankind tapped out to the Sharpshooter, reminiscent of the Screwjob a year earlier. Messis 75th-minute goal answered some of the criticism the clubs all-time leading scorer had received for his lacklustre performances in the teams recent losses in the league, Champions League and Copa del Rey final. Barcelona was on its way to another defeat when Aritz Aduriz scored in the 50th, provoking a smattering of white handkerchiefs in the Camp Nou stands, but Pedro Rodriguez equalized when he slotted in Alexis Sanchezs scuffed strike in the 72nd. Barcelona still needed defender Javier Mascherano to block Mikel Ricos point-blank try in injury time to protect the three points after Cristian Tello had wasted one of numerous opportunities to put the result beyond doubt. "After the first half I thought that this wasnt to be our day after missing so many chances," said Barcelona coach Gerardo Martino, whose job probably depends on Barcelona catching Atletico to defend its title. "But we kept fighting. We played with a lot of heart to overcome a difficult week and a game that had turned against us. Messi defends himself on the pitch and I am happy for him." Barcelona moved provisionally into second place, four points behind leader Atletico Madrid. Madrid is two points behind Barcelona but with a game to play. Messi set up his winner after earning a foul on the edge of the area, and the Argentina forward used his left foot to finally beat Gorka Iraizoz after the goalkeeper had denied him twice. While not exactly his electrifying old self, Messi was active creating scoring chances from the start, but Alexis Sanchez sent Pedros pass off the bar from close range in the 38th. Barcelonas attack was working. Its defence, however, showed the same frailties that have plagued it in the second half of the season. Adurizs beautiful bicycle kick crashed into the post before goalkeeper Jose Pinto palmed away Markel Susaetas follow-up at thhe half-hour mark. Stitched NBA Jerseys. The patience of Barcelonas fans began to fray when Bartra lost the ball near his area and Aduriz expertly drove the ball into the corner of the net. And when Messi sent the ball wide one-on-one against Iraizoz a collective groan filled the stadium. But Pedro was finally able to steer the ball in when Dani Alves began a move from the right flank to start Barcelona on its way to a much-needed victory. "We knew that after all the opinions and criticism that we have received that we had to do our job and be professionals," Mascherano said. "We have to hold on to that small hope that if we win our games we can then see what happens. We cant just let (Atletico and Madrid) slip up and not be there." Bilbaos loss put its hold on fourth place and the last Champions League in danger after Sevilla closed the gap to three points by thrashing Granada 4-0, with the Basques hosting the Andalusian side next round. Sevilla, which opens its Europa League semifinal against Valencia on Thursday, eased past Granada thanks to Diego Mainzs own goal and goals by Kevin Gameiro, Stephane Mbia and Victor Machin. Celta Vigo outclassed Almeria with a 4-2 away win as forward Manuel "Nolito" Agudo netted a double, and Paulao scored one goal and set up another, but both for the wrong team, as bottom-side Real Betis slumped to a demoralizing 3-1 defeat at Rayo Vallecano. Celta kept Almeria in the relegation zone thanks to Nolitos brace and goals by fellow forwards Charles and Fabian Orellana, while Rafina set up two scores. Paulaos nightmare began in the 14th when he left his back pass woefully short of reaching goalkeeper Adan Garrido, and Rochina Raixes poached the ball to roll it in. The Brazilian defender followed that mistake by clearing a cross into his own net in the 27th. Paulao asked to be substituted and was replaced five minutes later, with the Rayo fans in Vallecas Stadium politely applauding him to show their support. Betis was left on the brink of relegation, 10 points from safety with four games to go. ' ' '

DENVER -- A two-week losing streak that included a tumultuous player-coach run-in during a game is over and the Denver Nuggets can finally exhale. Undefeated x Air Max 90 Black Opti Yellow . Ty Lawson scored 18 points, including a key 3-pointer with less than a minute to play, and the Nuggets snapped an eight-game losing streak with a 111-108 win over the Memphis Grizzlies on Friday night. "Its a wonderful feeling," said Kenneth Faried, one of six Nuggets to score in double figures. "We got the monkey off our back. We cant put it back on." Lawson also had 12 assists for the Nuggets, who played without Andre Miller. His two-game suspension stemming from a verbal clash with coach Brian Shaw during Wednesdays loss to the Philadelphia 76ers was rescinded by the club earlier Friday. But Miller, who lit into Shaw over his lack of playing time in the waning minutes of Wednesdays game in full view of fans and teammates, will remain away from the team until Monday under a newly issued personal leave. With frustration and uncertainty running rampant, Shaw held individual meetings with his players, and then had a group session with the team Thursday. "It was great," guard Randy Foye said. "Coach called us in and just explained how much confidence he had in us, what he expected from us. He reassured us that hes with us 120 per cent. He told us that he needs us to be with him 120 per cent, and to believe in the game plan. Coach was awesome, explaining the things that he needed from us, and I think guys took that and ran with it." Shaw said dealing with the fallout from the losing streak as well as the verbal clash with Miller was just part of the job. "Everything thats gone on in the last 48 hours is part of what you sign up for," Shaw said. "Theres ups and downs. ... But just allowing everybody to voice how they felt about the way things were going, assess themselves, assess us as a coaching staff, I think that just liberated everyone." Faried and Timofey Mozgov added 16 points apiece for Denver and Nate Robinson had 15 points, including nine in the fourth quarter. Zach Randolph had 25 points to lead Memphis and Mike Conley added 23. Mike Miller narrowly missed a tying 3-pointer at the buzzer. "We didnt guard well," Grizzlies coach David Joerger said. "They got the loose balls. They got the offensive rebounds and we didnt convert on fast breaks. We gave up too many easy baskets." Trailing by 10 at the break, the Grizzlies got back in the game by opening the third quarter with a 13-4 run. Tony Allens layup little more than three minutes later put the Grizzlies in front 65-64, their first lead since the opening moments of the game. The Nuggets came back, with help from a three-point play by Evan Fournier and a 3-pointer by Robinson to take a 77-75 lead into the fourth quarter. The Nuggets extended their lead to 87-77 with 9:32 remaining, getting 3-pointers from Randy Foye and Robinson around a breakaway dunk by Faired. The Grizzlies made another push, getting seven consecutive points capped by Conleys 3-pointer to pull to 98-96 with 4:05 left. Robinson answered with a 3-pointer to give the Nuggets a bit of breathing room, but Tayshaun Prince drained a 3-pointer with a minute left, getting the Grizzlies within 107-104. Lawson rebuilt the Nuggets lead to six points with a clutch 3-pointer with 53.1 seconds left. Memphis scored the next four points, and with 4.1 seconds left fouled Robinson, who made one of two free throws with the Grizzlies rebounding and getting the ball with just over 3 seconds remaining. Millers attempt for a tying 3-pointer hit the back of the rim and bounced out. "They played desperate. They needed a win and they played like it," Conley said. "They worked hard for it and they outworked us at the end." NOTES: Lawson has had eight points-assists double doubles this season. ... Mozgov has come off the bench to score in double figures 13 times this season. ... Memphis outscored the Nuggets 27-19 in the third quarter, getting 12 of its points from the free throw line. ... The Grizzlies attempted 38 free throws in all, making 29. Only Houston (44 on Nov. 16) shot more free throws against the Nuggets. ... MIAMI -- The Miami Marlins have gotten contributions from a number of players during their recent surge. Air Max 720 Saturn Canada . On Tuesday night, their two All-Stars led them. Henderson Alvarez pitched seven scoreless innings, Giancarlo Stanton drove in two runs and the surging Marlins beat Stephen Strasburg and the Washington Nationals 3-0 for their sixth straight win. Christian Yelich also drove in a run for the Marlins, who have won nine of their last 10. "Guys are excited, theres a lot of confidence," manager Mike Redmond said. Steve Cishek loaded the bases in the ninth before striking out Anthony Rendon to record his 27th save in 30 chances. At 53-53, the Marlins have climbed back to the .500 mark for the first time since June 25 when they were 39-39. They trail the Nationals by five games in the NL East. "Theyve got the ability to roll off like theyre rolling right now," Nationals manager Matt Williams said. Strasburg (7-9) allowed one run and four hits in seven innings after allowing four runs in each of his last two starts. Alvarez (8-5), who issued a season-high four walks, got out of a bases-loaded jam with no outs in the second inning. He got help from third baseman Casey McGehee, who made a diving catch to rob Nate McLouth from extra bases for the second out in the inning. "When youre winning ballgames, guys are making big plays," Redmond said. The Marlins got to Strasburg in the sixth when Stanton doubled to left to score a run. Stanton came into the game hitless in his last nine at-bats, striking out eight times. "I havent felt good for a while now," Stanton said. "I did a little different set in pregame, so hopefully Im feeling better and more comfortable at the plate and today was a good plus." Yelich hit an RBI double in the eighth to give Miami a 2-0 lead and Stanton drove him in two batters later. Miamis Jeff Baker had his career-best 11-game hitting streak snapped with an 0-for-3 night. Bryce Harper had two of the Nationals five hits. TRAINERS ROOM There is still no timetable for Nationals star Ryan Zimmerman, who was placed on the 15-day disabled list on July 23 with a pulled hamstring. "The first two weeks are key," Williams said. "So once it gets healed, it starts to mat down a little bit and then you can start doing some strengthening exercises and then you get a better idea of where he would be." Also, plate umpire D.J. Reyburn took a pitch off his right wrist in the top of the seventh inning, delaying the game for nearly five minutes. In the ninth, Reyburn was struck in the right knee and play was momentarily halted. "He reminded me of myself back in the day getting smoked by foul tips, that was rough," Redmond said. "Thats one of those nights where you just sit back and pull out a Bud Light and enjoy it." ON DECK Tanner Roark (10-6, 2.82) will start for the Nationals in Wednesdays series finale against Brad Hand (2-2, 4.19). Roark has allowed one run in seven innings in each of his three previous starts with a 3-0 record. Hand is coming off his best outing of the season, pitching 7 1-3 scoreless innings at Houston on July 25. POSTGAME MOVE The Marlins optioned outfielder Jake Marisnick to Triple-A New Orleans and plan to call up infielder Ed Lucas in a corresponding move. Lucas has hit .239 with one home run and seven RBIs in 50 games for the Marlins. DEAL TIME Both teams could be looking to make moves before Thursdays non-waiver trade deadline. "Any help we can get to make us better is always good," Stanton said. "You never what its going to be or if theres going to be one, but any additions will help." HOUSTON -- Former NFL and University of Texas quarterback Vince Young has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection. Wholesale Fake Shoes . The petition was filed last week in a Houston federal bankruptcy court, listing Young with estimated assets between $500,001 and $1 million and liabilities between $1,001,000 and $10 million. The Houston Chronicle reports (http://bit.ly/1edNPn8 ) no specific details on Youngs assets and liabilities were immediately available. The 30-year-old Young is fighting a pair of lawsuits stemming from a $1.8 million loan obtained in his name during the 2011 NFL lockout. A court has granted a judgment against Young to Pro Player Funding, a New York company that made the loan. Pro Player Funding has made several efforts in a Harris County state district court to enforce collection of the judgment, but those efforts remain pending. Cheap Fake Shoes . The world No. 1 Nadal was the first to advance, claiming a 3-6, 7-6 (7-3), 7-6 (9-7), 6-2 triumph over 22nd-seeded Bulgarian Grigor Dimitrov, before Federer reached his 11th straight Aussie Open semi with a 6-3, 6-4, 6-7 (6-8), 6-3 victory over fourth-seeded Andy Murray at Rod Laver Arena. The former No. 1 great Federer, seeded sixth at this fortnight, reached the final four of a Grand Slam for the first time since falling to the reigning Wimbledon champion Murray in the Melbourne semis last year. He was a quarterfinal loser at the French Open last spring, then suffered a stunning second-round loss at Wimbledon and a fourth-round exit at the U.S. Open. The 17-time Grand Slam champ is seeking his first Aussie crown since 2010, when he beat Murray in the final. The 26-year-old Murray is a three-time Aussie runner-up, including last year here against Novak Djokovic. After Federer took the first two sets from Murray, including a brisk 31-minute opening stanza, the Brit fought back in the third, saving two match points in the tiebreak. Federer served for the match, leading 5-4 in the third, but Murray notched his first break, on only his first break-point of the match, against the Swiss icon, who had not been broken in 50 consecutive service games. The four-time Aussie Open champion Federer opened up 5-2 and 6-4 leads in the tiebreak, but had the match points thwarted. First a forehand error and then a backhand error as Murray stayed alive. The Scot would then paint a line with a forehand winner to earn a set point and converted to force a fourth set. A resilient Murray kept the match tight in the fourth, but he gave Federer too many open chances. Finally, on his 10th break point of the set, the Swiss stepped in with a big backhand return to set up a winning point and then served things out. Federer broke Murray four times, while the Brit settled for only one break in only two break-point opportunities all night. "Andy playedd well and put the pressure on me so Im happy to get the win," a relieved Federer said in a courtside interview. Fake Nike Shoes. "I probably miss more break points than other guys but I keep my composure and keep the poker face and tonight it worked." The 32-year-old Federer is now 10-11 lifetime against Murray, including 2-1 at the Aussie. A rusty Murray returned to action just a few weeks ago after being sidelined for 3 1/2 months following minor back surgery. Meanwhile, the 2009 Aussie Open champ and 2012 runner-up Nadal dropped the first set to Dimitrov on Day 10, but the 13-time major titlist gritted through a pair of tough tiebreaks over the next two sets before running away with the final set at Melbourne Park. The bout ended in 3 hours, 37 minutes. "I was so lucky," Nadal said. "It gives me the opportunity to be in semifinals of a tournament I love so much." It will be the fourth semifinal appearance at the Aussie Open for the reigning U.S. and French Open champ. The rising star Dimitrov, who became the first Bulgarian to reach the last eight of a Grand Slam singles event, dropped to 0-4 in his career against Nadal. He smacked 16 aces in a losing effort. The left-handed Nadal improved to 4-0 lifetime against the 22-year-old Dimitrov. Nadal and Federer will meet for a 33rd time on Friday, with the Spaniard leading the all-time series, 22-10, including 8-2 in Grand Slam action. Nadal is 2-0 versus Federer at the Aussie, including a win in the 2009 finale. The high-flying Nadal has won four straight and eight of their last 10 meetings overall. The "Big Four" of Nadal, Djokovic, Murray and Federer have combined to win 34 of the last 35 Grand Slam events. The first mens semifinal will be staged on Thursday, when seventh-seeded Tomas Berdych takes on eighth seed Stanislas Wawrinka. Both men will appear in their first-ever Aussie semi. Wawrinka is 8-5 lifetime against the former Wimbledon runner-up Berdych, but the Czech captured their lone Aussie Open meeting in 2009. Wawrinka bested Berdych in the fourth round at the U.S. Open back in September. ' ' '

KANSAS CITY – Marcus Stromans major league debut may come sooner rather than later. Custom Seattle Mariners Nike Jerseys . But it will not be on the current road trip. Encouraged by Dustin McGowans start on Tuesday night at Kauffman Stadium, manager John Gibbons will hand him the ball again on Sunday in Pittsburgh and go with left-hander J.A. Happ on Monday in Philadelphia. "Well see where that takes us," said Gibbons. McGowan pitched into the seventh inning on Tuesday for just the second time this season. His spot in the rotation is vulnerable, with Gibbons on repeated occasions saying how much he values McGowan out of the bullpen. Happ, entering Thursdays series finale with the Royals, hadnt pitched in more than a week, a 2 2/3 inning performance against the Baltimore Orioles on April 23. He entered spring training with a spot in the rotation but posted a 20.57 ERA in four Grapefruit League appearances and missed time with inflammation in his back. His performance forced the Blue Jays to seek alternatives. Stroman, who turned 23 on Thursday, is coming off a 10-strikeout, one-walk, no-hit performance over six innings for the Triple-A Buffalo Bisons on Tuesday night. Along with Aaron Sanchez, he is considered a top pitching prospect and some in the organization believe he is major league-ready. GOSE RETURNS When the Blue Jays acquired Anthony Gose from the Astros on July 29, 2010, he was a hot prospect less than two weeks shy of his 20th birthday. Now, almost four years later, Gose is up for a second time this season and has been on the option train for a couple of seasons. Hes up when the Blue Jays need him and back in Buffalo when they dont. "Hes got to play and be productive," said Gibbons. "Its like anybody else. When it comes down to the big leagues its about production. Theres no secrets; you can hope guys are going to do something but eventually its all about production. Thats why its so hard to make it in the big leagues and stay for any length of time. Thats why guys come and go, bounce up and down. Big part of it is opportunity but when you get it youve got to take advantage of it." In 19 games with the Bisons, Gose is hitting .235/.350/.309. Hes walking at a higher clip than usual with 12 free passes in 81 plate appearances (14.8 per cent). "I think it was too cold for me to swing," Gose joked. "I wasnt trying to do anything different. I wasnt working on anything. I just walked a little bit more earlier on." He admits its difficult to get into a groove early in the International League season because of the weather. Games are often rained out; sometimes games are snowed out. "I think this year was much colder and a lot longer than last year, especially in other cities also," said Gose. "I dont know if its going to warm up. Its been freezing. I got here and its freezing too. Everywhere Im playing baseball its cold." ROSTER MOVES To accommodate the recall of Gose, the Blue Jays optioned infielder Jonathan Diaz to Triple-A Buffalo. Toronto also purchased the contract of infielder/outfielder Steve Tolleson. To make room for Tolleson on the 40-man roster, outfielder Moises Sierra was designated for assignment. The moves give the Blue Jays additional depth in the absence of Melky Cabrera, who was hit by a pitch on his left shin in Wednesday nights game and is listed as day-to-day. HIGH PRAISE FOR BAUTISTA Pointing out that Jose Bautista is good at baseball is a waste of everyones time. Nobodys splitting the atom with such an observation. Through the first month of the season, Bautista is baseballs leader in on-base percentage (.465) and on-base plus slugging percentage (1.065). His eight home runs prorate to a total of 48 over a 162-game schedule. Defensively, Bautista has one outfield assist and has come close on a couple of other occasions. His arm is feared by opposition baserunners. What arent so obvious to the viewing public are Bautistas contributions to game preparation. "Hes helped me out more than you can imagine, more than I ever imagined (he would)," said first-year outfield coach Tim Leiper. "When Im out there its like having another coach out there because number one, hes been in the league, hes seen everybody, he has great recall and he knows the game situations." When Bautista shifts to centerfield, which has happened in four games so far this season, Leiper jokes that his work day ends. Bautista takes charge and knows where he wants himself and his corner outfielders to be on each pitch. "From day one in spring training every fungo, every drill, 100-percent fundamentally correct every single time," said Leiper. "You watch him in the game, hes into every pitch, he doesnt take pitches off. Theres a reason why hes good at everything he does. Hes intelligent and hes into it. Hes as professional a guy as Ive ever been around." Custom Milwaukee Brewers Nike Jerseys . Lions signed cornerback Dante Marsh to a contract extension on Friay and released receiver Paris Jackson.SAN ANTONIO -- Predictably, the first question LeBron James got after walking into the San Antonio Spurs practice facility on Saturday was about the state of his health. "Feeling really good," James said. The Miami Heat surely liked that answer. James returned to the practice floor with the Heat on Saturday, two days after he was forced to leave Game 1 of the NBA Finals because of cramps. He will be in the lineup for Game 2 against the Spurs on Sunday night, when sports safest bet will be that the temperature inside San Antonios AT&T Center will be several degrees lower than it was for the series opener. "Im doing well, doing a lot better," James said before Saturdays workout. "The soreness is starting to get out. Im feeling better than I did yesterday and with another day, I should feel much better tomorrow." James wasnt going to go crazy on the conditioning front Saturday. The Heat were planning a glorified walkthrough for their practice, andd the four-time NBA MVP expected to get some cardio work done by biking and running. Custom Toronto Blue Jays Nike Jerseys. Hell also continue getting treatment as part of a recovery regimen that will stretch into Sunday -- plus, as one would expect, as many fluids into his system as he can handle. "Hes feeling better, moving around," Heat coach Erik Spoelstra said. "Yesterday was all about rest and hydration and building his body back up. Thankfully we had that extra day." James left with 3:59 remaining in Game 1 after his body shut down because of the cramps. The Heat trailed by two at that point and wound up losing by 15. James told teammates before Game 1 that they needed to have a Game 7 approach -- and with the Heat down 1-0 in the series, hell underscore that point again Sunday. "I want to be able to finish the game but you have to have that mindset, there is no tomorrow," James said. "Its challenging, but for a championship you dont want it easy." ' ' '

McConnells layup attempt with 6 seconds left, sending Arizona State to a 69-66 victory over No. 2 Arizona on Friday night. With both teams struggling offensively most of the night, Arizona State (19-6, 8-4 Pac-12) turned to Marshall when it counted. He went over 20 minutes without a field goal, but hit consecutive 3-pointers and scored on a drive with 14 seconds left to put the Sun Devils up 67-66. McConnell then tried to drive the lane, but Bachynski swatted his shot away, leading to Jahii Carsons breakaway dunk. Arizona States fans rushed the court, had to be cleared because there was 0.8 seconds left, then poured out of the stands again after Nick Johnson missed a 3-pointer at the buzzer. McConnell led Arizona (23-2, 10-2) with 17 points and five rebounds. Kaleb Tarczewski had 13 points and 13 rebounds, and Aaron Gordon had 13 points and 10 rebounds for the Wildcats, who shot 35 per cent and went 4 of 14 from 3-point range. Carson finished with 17 points and six assists. Bachynski had 13 points, seven rebounds and blocked eight shots. Arizona turned the first desert rivalry game into a rout, racing away from the Sun Devils for a 91-68 win in Tucson on Jan. 16. A lot has changed in a month. Arizona lost one of its best players in its only loss of the season when forward Brandon Ashley injured his right foot against California two weeks ago. The Wildcats managed to win their first two games without the versatile sophomore, against the two Oregon schools last week, but had to rejigger their lineup to compensate for his abssence. Fake Air Max Trainers. Arizona State has been on a roll since that loss, winning five of its past six games to get back into the NCAA tournament picture. The Sun Devils also had Marshall, their second-leading scorer, back in the lineup after he missed the first game with a groin injury and Bachynski has been playing better after missing all three of his shots in Tucson. Marshall made a huge difference in the rematch after an ugly start that featured more combined fouls (11) than points (nine) the opening eight minutes. Marshall scored 12 of the Sun Devils 19 points in the first half, hitting 5 of 10 shots while the rest of the team 3 for 17. Arizona led 26-21 at halftime after dominating the glass, outrebounding Arizona State 26-15, including 9-3 on the offensive end. Marshall continued to carry the Sun Devils early in the second half, scoring on a three-point play on a turnaround shot in the lane and earning a chance at another on a hard drive before missing the free throw. Then it was Carsons turn. He had two points on 1-of-5 shooting in the first half, but started to assert himself more midway through the second half, scoring six straight points to put Arizona State up 47-41. Arizona managed to keep the Sun Devils close despite struggling at the free-throw line, but Carson added a step-back jumper and Bachynski hit a free throw to make it 51-46. The Wildcats fought back, though, with Aaron Gordon scoring on a three-point play and McConnell on a breakaway lead layup to tie it at 51-all with 49 seconds left. Both teams had a chance to take the lead at the end of regulation, but got off poor shots to send the game to overtime. ' ' '

MANCHESTER, England -- England defender Luke Shaw became the worlds most expensive teenage player on Friday and Manchester Uniteds second signing in 24 hours following its worst English Premier League campaign. Fake Nike Shoes . The 18-year-old left back joined United from Southampton, reportedly for more than 27 million pounds ($46 million), straight after returning from his first World Cup with England. Southampton confirmed the deal made Shaw "the most expensive teenager ever," which would eclipse fees of around 26 million pounds ($44 million) that saw Wayne Rooney join Manchester United in 2004 and Marquinhos sign for Paris Saint-Germain last year. Shaw signed a four-year contract, with an option to extend for a further year if he continues to develop as one of the most exciting youngsters in football. "I want to continue to progress my career and joining United is the ideal place for me to do that," Shaw said in a statement. Louis van Gaal doesnt officially take charge at United until his World Cup campaign as Netherlands manager is over, but players are being signed ready for the Dutchmans arrival. United paid around $50 million for Spanish midfielder Ander Herrera the day before Shaws arrival. The record 20-time English champions are spending early in the summer transfer window after dithering last year in the post-Alex Ferguson era led to an alarming, and costly, slump on the pitch. David Moyes was fired just before the season ended with United going from 2013 champions to seventh-place finishers last month. Uniteds management has convinced Shaw to join them despite the lack of Champions League football next season. Having already made 67 first-team appearances at Southampton, Shaw will be hoping he isnt just the backup to 33-year-old Patrice Evra at left back. "Luke is a very talented young left back with great potential," assistant manager Ryan Giggs said. "He has developed immensely during his time at Southampton." Shaw usurped Ashley Cole as backup to Leighton Baines in the England World Cup squad, leading to the Chelsea veterans international retirement. Shaw, who made his international debut only in March, won his third cap in Tuesdays 0-0 draw with Costa Rica before Englands early exit from Brazil. Shaw is the latest departure from Southampton since the south-coast club achieved its highest-ever Premier League points tally to finish eighth in May. Daniel Sedin and Ronalds Kenins scored for the Canucks, who have dropped three of four. Ryan Miller allowed three goals on 19 shots in the loss. After a scoreless first period, the Wild took a 1-0 lead at 7:26 of the second as Parise charged down the left wing fighting off a checker, throwing the puck on net from a sharp angle that got past Miller. Exactly two minutes later on the power play, Spurgeons slap shot from the left point found the back of the net for a 2-0 lead. Vancouver had a goal waved off three minutes into the third period when Radim Vrbata was ruled to have impeded Dubnyks ability to get into position. The Canucks pulled Miller with two minutes to play and had several good chances, but Dubnyk came up with the stops and Zucker sealed the victory with an empty-net goal inside the final minute. It got a little hairier then we expected, Dubnyk said. Obviously with a 3-0 lead, I would like to stop that first one, that kind of gives them a little momentum. OTTAWA - Canadas highly paid Olympic mens hockey professionals are insured against acts of terrorism when they compete in the Sochi Games but it is not at all clear the same coverage extends to their amateur brethren on the Olympic team. Stitched USA Soccer Jerseys . As for regular Olympic spectators, theyre being warned that most travel insurance policies wont cover acts of terrorism or war. The Games in southern Russia, which run from Feb. 7-23, are being staged amid unprecedented security and under global warnings of danger. An extraordinary travel advisory from the Canadian government highlights Sochi terrorist threats in bold red script. "In July 2013 Imarat Kavkaz leader Doku Umarov called on militants to derail the Sochi Olympic Games using any necessary means, and lifted his previous moratorium on actions of militants in Russia outside the North Caucasus," states the governments travel advisory page. "On January 19, 2014, the Ansar Al-Sunna terrorist group took responsibility for the December 2013 attacks on Volgograd ... and threatened further attacks if the Olympic Games were to take place." Public Safety Minister Steven Blaney reinforced the message last week by issuing a statement warning that special security at Olympic venues "does not eliminate the risk of terrorist attacks." Such government warnings wont likely make a travellers insurance void, says John Thain, president of the Travel Health Insurance Association of Canada. Only an outright government advisory not to travel in a country or region may void travel insurance, he said. But check the fine print on terrorism because most policies dont cover it, he added. "One of the messages were trying to get across to all Canadians is know and understand your policy," Thain told The Canadian Press. It is advice that should apply to athletes attending in the Games as well. The Canadian Olympic Committee, which handles insurance for most of the Canadians competing in Sochi, flatly rebuffed questions about its insurance coverage. "Internal matters including HR (human resources) and administrative policies for employees, athletes and mission team members are simply not subjects we discuss publicly," the committee told The Canadian Press in an email statement. Agent Kris Mychasiw, who represents bobsled Olympian Kaillie Humphries, said all the terrorism talk is "being blown out of proportion." "London had the same issue. Athens had the same issue," said Mychasiw. Asked whether Canadas Olympians are insured against a career-ending injury caused by an act of terrorism, Mychasiw responded "to my knowledge, no." "Even if you were to get insurance for it, the odds of something like that happening, or being in an environment where that would happen, are slim to none," said the agent. Thats not the tack taken by National Hockey League and its players association. Greg Sutton of Sutton Special Risk, which insures more than 450 profession hockey players including Sydney Crosby, said hes taken a number of calls from concerned players and their agents in the run-up to Sochi. "All of our policies actually include terrorism, but what they arent covered for is any acts of terrorism which use nuclear, chemical or biological means," Sutton said in an interview. Bob Nicholson, the president of Hockey Canada, said group insurance for Olympic pros was handled through the International Ice Hockey Federation. That was part of the agreement for getting the pros to Sochi, said Nicholson. Sutton said some players have asked to include the extra nuclear-chemical-biological coverage, known as NCB, and that adds about 10 to 15 per cent to the premium. Other players are also taking out additional personal insurance. "There are players who are still young enough that theres a need for them to protect their future value, too, and thats where the personal coverage comes in. We do both." Sutton said Hockey Canada inquired about adding NCB but hes not sure if it ended up taking the extra coverage. Any difference between insuring Canadas amateur Olympians and the NHL pros comes down to a business decision based on guaranteed, multi-million-dollar contracts, said Mychasiw. "The NHL is taking precautions because thats a money-making business. Theyre looking at protecting their assets, from the NHL Players Association right up to the league." On Monday, the British Broadcasting Corporation reported that a British government intelligence report warns that more terrorist attacks in Russia are "very likely to occur" before or during the Sochi Games. The BBC reports that the leaked assessment says Sochi itself may be difficult to attack due to massive Russian security operations. With files from Joshua Clipperton. USA Soccer Jerseys China . "Last year didnt go the way we wanted it to, but we need to look at what went well and what didnt go so well. Hopefully this year we will be better," Brendan Gallagher said after practice. This year, the Canadiens have a little more depth to work with by adding players like Daniel Briere, Dale Weise, Mike Weaver, Douglas Murray and arguably, the biggest addition to this playoff roster, Thomas Vanek, who the Canadiens were able to land at the trade deadline. Seattle couldnt celebrate the arrival of Cano enough. Young was a last-second addition plucked at the end of spring training. Each has proven invaluable in keeping Seattle at .500 at the 50-game mark of the season. Young pitched shutout ball until Albert Pujols homered in the seventh inning, Cano had three hits and two RBIs to raise his average to .332, and the Mariners beat the Los Angeles Angels 5-1 on Monday. While the production from Cano was expected after he signed a $240 million contract to join the Mariners, what Young has contributed is a surprise, especially with Seattle down two expected starters in the rotation. "I was trying to find the adjectives to describe this guy today, but what a godsend hes been for this rotation," Seattle manager Lloyd McClendon said. "Hes been tremendous. In and out, up and down, he never wavers and knows what he wants to do." Young (4-2) kept the Angels without a hit until Kole Calhouns single with one out in the sixth inning. An inning later, Pujols hit his 506th career home run, pulling within three of Gary Sheffield for 24th on baseballs all-time homer list. Young lasted only two more batters after Pujols homer, getting pulled after issuing a walk to Raul Ibanez. He struck out five and walked three. But Youngs strong pitching at Safeco Field continued. In four starts at home this season, Young is 2-0 with a 1.65 ERA. It was a solid rebound for Young, who got knocked around in losing his previous two starts. He gave up 10 hits and five runs in losing to Minnesota and allowed four runs and seven hits in a loss to Texas last week. In Youngs last seven starts for Seattle, the Mariners are 5-2. Its an impressive turnaround considering Young spent all of last season out of the majors after shoulder surgery. "When youre oout there competing, you expect to win. USA Soccer Jerseys 2020. I wouldnt take the ball if I didnt expect to go out and compete and win," Young said. "To say its surprising, after all the hard work and time rehabbing I put in I would say no." After McClendon lamented Seattles production following losses over the weekend to Houston, the Mariners responded with five runs in the first two innings off Tyler Skaggs (4-2). Seattle scored three unearned runs with two outs in the second. The top three hitters in Seattles order did the damage against Skaggs. James Jones scored twice, and Michael Saunders tripled, singled and scored two runs. Cano singled in each of his first three at-bats a day after his streak of reaching base ended at 31 games. "Thats just part of the game sometimes where you take advantage of a pitch over the plate," Cano said. "Sometimes there are games where they throw you that same pitch and you foul it off. ... We took advantage and thats what we want. Those are the little things you want to do." Skaggs wasnt helped by his defence in the second inning when shortstop Erick Aybar couldnt handle Jones one-hopper with two outs. The miscue allowed Dustin Ackley to score and opened the door for two more runs on Saunders triple and Canos infield single. Despite the early trouble, Skaggs threw seven innings and struck out eight. "Tyler understood keeping us in the game," Angels manager Mike Scioscia said. "He made pitches, got on a great streak and pitched seven innings. But the damage was done early." NOTES: Angels dropped to 1-5 vs. Seattle this season. ... Seattle LHP James Paxton (back) said he was not sure when his next throwing session would be after making his first rehab start at Triple-A Tacoma on Saturday. ... Seattle RHP Taijuan Walker (shoulder) is scheduled to make his first rehab start on Wednesday at Tacoma. ' ' '

Las Vegas, NV (SportsNetwork. Fake Yeezys Outlet .com) - Former foes from the Mountain West Conference battle in the 23rd annual Las Vegas Bowl, as the 23rd-ranked Utah Utes clash with the Colorado State Rams at Sam Boyd Stadium on Saturday. Utah, which left the MWC in favor of the Pac-12 Conference, finished the regular season with a record of 8-4 which was somewhat disappointing given the fact that the program opened the campaign with six wins in seven tries. Down the stretch the Utes lost three of five, while the two victories against Stanford and Colorado came by a combined seven points. The lackluster finish to the regular season still left the Utes among the nationally ranked and gave the team an opportunity to take the field one more time, which is something head coach Kyle Whittingham is certainly thankful for. Its great to be back playing in the postseason. One of the biggest benefits is the extra practice work for the younger players. Its almost like another spring camp. Having the seniors play in a bowl game is huge. Meanwhile, the Rams took the MWC by storm this season, at one point putting together a nine-game win streak which pushed them into the national rankings as well. Unfortunately, the success was a double-edged sword for Colorado State, as the team finished second in the Mountain Division of the MWC with a record of 6-2, because it also meant that head coach Jim McElwain was a hot commodity on the head coaching market. Turns out McElwain, who was the offensive coordinator at Alabama before taking the job in Fort Collins, was lured away by Florida and has agreed to become the next coach for the floundering Gators. As a result, offensive coordinator Dave Baldwin has stepped up on an interim basis to lead the Rams into battle this weekend. From a postseason perspective, the Rams are aiming to even out their bowl record as they take part in their 14th postseason affair. The teams very first bowl game was a 21-20 loss to Occidental in the 1949 Raisin Bowl, while the most recent was a hard-fought 48-45 triumph over Washington State in the 2013 New Mexico Bowl. Utah, which is 2-1 in this particular bowl, has won 10 of its last 11 bowl outings, with the lone setback coming against Boise State in the 2010 version of the Las Vegas Bowl. Overall, the Utes have a 13-4 bowl mark, dating back to a 26-0 win against New Mexico in the 1939 Sun Bowl. The most recent postseason victory for the program was a 30-27 overtime triumph versus Georgia Tech in the 2011 Sun Bowl. These squads have a long and storied history dating back more than a century, with Utah owning a 55-22-2 advantage. This will be the first neutral-site battle and the first meeting overall since the Utes, ranked ninth in the nation at the time, crushed CSU by a score of 59-6 on Oct. 23, 2010. Coach Whittinghams offense was rather pedestrian this season, placing 84th in the nation with just 374.8 ypg. although that doesnt mean there were not standout performers on that side of the ball. Running back Devontae Booker made a name for himself as he carried the ball 266 times for 1,350 yards and nine touchdowns, while quarterback Travis Wilson registered an efficiency rating of 135.93 thanks to his 60.3 percent completions and his 17 touchdowns, against only four interceptions. Wilson had four different receivers who logged four touchdowns through the air, his favorite target being Kenneth Scott with his 42 grabs for 445 yards. Although he doesnt necessarily fit the profile of an offensive player, punter Tom Hackett was no less a valuable asset for the Utes when the offense stalled, as the All-American and Ray Guy Award winner placed second in the country with a punt average of 47.0 yards per kick and was first with punts inside the 20 (35) and 10 (19) yard lines. Utah leads the nation in total sacks with 52 and is also first in sacks per game with 4.33. Nate Orchard, who won the Ted Hendricks Award as the nations top defensive end, led the country with 1.46 sacks per outing and was second in total sacks with 17.5 to set a single-season record for Utah. The Rams have to be careful not to focus all their energy on stopping Orchard because Hunter Dimick can also disrupt plays in the backfield after posting 14.5 TFL and 10 sacks of his own. Orchard and Dimick will both be targeting CSU quarterback Garrett Grayson, the all-time leading passer in Rams history and the 2014 MWC Offensive Player of the Year. Grayson completed close to 65 percent of his passes for a fantastic 314.9 ypg and a total of 32 touchdowns, against just six interceptions on 386 attempts. Making the job that much easier for Grayson, as he led the eighth-best passing attack in the country, was the play of wide receiver Rashard Higgins. A finalist for the Biletnikoff Award, Higgins led the nation with 149.1 ypg receiving and scored 17 touchdowns. He set a school record for consecutive games with at least 100 yards receiving with seven, en route to being named the first AP All-American at CSU since 1995. Its a great honor for Colorado State football, and especially for Rashard, coach Baldwin said of his selection. Im very proud of him, and proud of what everybody in this entire program has worked to accomplish this season. The offense has claimed most of the headlines at Colorado State this season, but that doesnt mean the defense is completely void of star players. Aaron Davis led the team in tackles with 110, while Cory James stepped up to produce team highs in TFL (8.5) and sacks (6.5). Trent Matthews was not only responsible for 51 tackles, he was tied for the lead in interceptions with three and logged a pair of blocked kicks as well. Fake Yeezy Boost 350 V3 . BALTIMORE -- Nelson Cruz and the Baltimore Orioles had the good fortune of avoiding Cy Young Award winner Max Scherzer during the regular season. Or maybe it was the other way around. In his 2014 debut against the hard-hitting Orioles, Scherzer found out quickly that a poor pitch can go a long way -- in the other direction. Cruz and J.J. Hardy homered, and Baltimore hammered out 12 hits in defeating Scherzer and the Detroit Tigers 12-3 Thursday in the opener of their AL Division Series. I just left too many pitches up, Scherzer said. This is a great-hitting ballclub. You give them a chance to extend their arms, they can really hit it. Jonathan Schoop and Alejandro De Aza each had two hits and two RBIs for the Orioles, who turned a close game into a rout with an eight-run eighth inning against Scherzer and three ineffective relievers. The 12 runs set a post-season record for Baltimore, making its second playoff appearance since 1997. Game 2 of the best-of-five series is Friday at Camden Yards. Justin Verlander, the second of three straight Cy Young winners the Orioles will face, is set to go against left-hander Wei-Yin Chen. Verlander must avoid the mistakes made by Scherzer, who allowed five runs and seven hits in 7 1-3 innings. The right-hander was 18-5 during the regular season, but in this one he was burned by the long ball and outpitched by the Orioles. Ive got to find a way to get the ball down, Scherzer said. I wasnt quite able to do that tonight, and I paid for it. Cruz led the majors with 40 homers during the regular season, a good portion of Baltimores big league-best 211 long balls. His first-inning drive off Scherzer put the Orioles up 2-0 before Detroits Victor Martinez and J.D. Martinez connected off Chris Tillman in the second to tie it. But Baltimore had too much firepower for the Tigers. Hardy led off the seventh by driving a poorly thrown changeup from Scherzer over the centre-field wall for a 4-2 lead. The one that stings is that J.J. Hardy home run, Scherzer said. That home run really changed the game in my eyes, gave them that insurance run. Cruz added his third RBI with a single during a wild eighth inning keyed by a Detroit error that kept the boisterous, orange-clad crowd of 47,842 on its feet. Five different Orioles finished with two hits. Clearly, facing Scherzer was not too daunting a task. Its the same game, De Aza said. Yes, this is a good pitcher, but its the same game. You have to throw the ball to home plate for a strike to get us out. Tillman (1-0) allowed two runs in five innings before Andrew Miller got five outs -- three by strikeout. Darren ODay ggave up an eighth-inning homer to Miguel Cabrera, but the drive followed a double play. Fake Yeezys. Orioles manager Buck Showalter then called upon closer Zach Britton, who had 37 saves during the regular season. Britton got the last out in the eighth, and by the time the ninth inning rolled around, he wasnt needed anymore. Miller had a 1.35 ERA in 23 games with Baltimore, ODay finished at 1.70 and Britton closed at 1.65. Thats one big reason why the AL East-champion Orioles were 80-4 when leading after eight innings. Meanwhile, Detroits revamped bullpen looked shaky -- although it was shortstop Andrew Romines error that got the big eighth inning going. I cant remember the last time he made an error at shortstop, Tigers manager Brad Ausmus said. This was an unfortunate one, but it doesnt change my mind on him as a shortstop. Although he had a 5.56 ERA in the first inning during the regular season, Tillman began his initial foray into the playoffs in impressive fashion by striking out the side on 14 pitches. Cruz hit an opposite-field drive to right in the bottom half after Nick Markakis hit a leadoff single. It was his 15th career post-season home run, tied with Babe Ruth for 10th place on the career list. Its just I like to enjoy this moment, you know, Cruz said. I think as a player, you want to be in the situation. And, you know, its no reason. The rollicking, towel-waving fans had barely settled down when Victor Martinez led off the second with a towering shot over the right-field wall. Four pitches later, J.D. Martinez hit a tying homer in his first post-season at-bat. Nick Markakis answered with an RBI single in the Baltimore half. At that point, six of 10 batters reached safely against Scherzer. After yielding the back-to-back homers, Tillman retired the next 11 batters before Romine singled with two outs in the fifth. Another single and a walk loaded the bases for Torii Hunter, who hit into a fielders choice on Tillmans 105th and final pitch. Afterward, Showalter saluted the crowd for their enthusiasm. If you dont get that, youre too cold for his game, he said. I wish I would have had a towel. TRAINERS ROOM Tigers: CF Rajai Davis (pelvic strain) was cleared to play after passing a series of drills early in the day before rosters were finalized. Davis started and batted ninth. UP NEXT Tigers: Verlander (15-12, 4.54 ERA) makes his 16th post-season start following what Ausmus called a down season overall for the 2011 Cy Young Award winner. Orioles: Chen (16-6, 3.54) seeks his first win since Sept. 15 after losing his final two starts in the regular season. ' ' '

The announcement, which took place on Thursday morning in the team hotel in Oakville ahead of a double training day, comes two days before his side plays their second game of the June International Series. Canada was defeated 34-25 last Saturday at Swangard Stadium in Burnaby, BC and will also face USA next Saturday in Sacramento, California; both games are part of the 2014 Pacific Nations Cup campaign. In the forwards, Aaron Carpenter slots into the front row at hooker to join props Hubert Buydens and Jason Marshall. Canadas engine room stays unchanged with the duo of Tyler Hotson and Jamie Cudmore returning to action on Saturday. "It feels great to be back. Im thankful to our physiotherapy team for working hard with me over the last week to help me get fit," said Sinclair following the roster announcement. Fiery scrumhalf Phil Mack will get the nod on Saturday and provide the link to fellow Canada Sevens stalwart Harry Jones, who will lead the backs at number 10. The rest of Canadas backline remains untouched with the duo of Nick Blevins and Ciaran Hearn in the centres and Jeff Hassler, Taylor Paris and James Pritchard rounding out the back three. Substitutes for Canada include Ray Barkwill, Andrew Tiedemann and Jake Ilnicki in the front row, Kyle Gilmour, Jon Phelan, Gord McRorie, Connor Braid and DTH van der Merwe. We need to fix a few defensive errors that let us down in the second half," said the Fredericton, New Brunswick native. "I think Scotlands game plan matches up well with how Canadians like to play – big, direct, hard ball runners – and they have a strong set piece that theyve turned around recently under (Vern) Cotter," added Sinclair. "Were excited for the challenge and looking forward to playing in front of a packed house at BMO Field on Saturday." In order to have success on Saturday, Crowleys outfit will need to first and foremost establish a physical presence and eliminate costly mistakes. During last weekends loss to Japan, Canada gave away 15 points from penalties off the boot of fullback Ayumu Goromaru. The Scots are fresh off a 24-6 victory over USA in Houston, Texas in newly appointed coach Vern Cotters debut. Scrumhalf Greig Laidlaw was good for three conversions and one penalty for nine of Scotlands points against USA, with tries also coming from fullback Stuart Hogg, winger Tim Visser and one penalty try. The Indiana Pacers drew even in their Eastern Conference semifinal series with the Washington Wizards last time out, but the action shifts to our nations capital Friday night for Game 3. Wholesale Penguins Jerseys . Watch the game on TSN2 and TSN GO at 8pm et/5pm pt. Friday will mark the first second-round playoff game in Washington since 2005. That year, the Wizards were swept by the Miami Heat in the semis, but that wont happen this time around. The Wiz won Game 1 on Monday, but the Pacers clawed back into the series with an 86-82 home victory on Wednesday. Indiana was carried by the unlikeliest of players in Game 2. Roy Hibbert, who scored zero points and grabbed zero rebounds in Game 1s loss, scored 28 points and grab nine rebounds on Wednesday. Hibbert went scoreless three times this postseason and put up donuts in both categories twice, but the All-Star took his mind off things and dominated the Wizards. "Sometimes I wear my heart on my sleeve and other times I just keep things in," admitted Hibbert. "Tonight, I just felt like I just had one thing on my mind: to help this team win. My teammates did a great job of getting me the ball in my sweet spot and believing in me. I just wanted to return the favor." Head coach Frank Vogel acknowledged he didnt call any plays for Hibbert, but the big man was active from the jump. He scored the games first five points and totaled 17 in the first half. "Im sure he didnt like the way he played the other night," said Vogel. "Im sure he didnt like the criticism. Thats the remarkable thing. You play with a certain amount of force and the ball finds you." Another factor that may have freed up Hibbert was the teams announcement that Andrew Bynum, who was signed as a backup in February, would not appear in a game this postseason and that his tenure with the Pacers was over. Some reports indicated Hibbert wasnt pleased with the Bynum signing. George Hill finished with 14 points, followed by 12 from Lance Stephenson and 11 out of Paul George. Marcin Gortat had 21 points to lead the Wizards, Bradley Beal added 17 and Nene scored 14 despite rolling his left ankle in the first quarter. All-Star guard John Wall and Trevor Ariza, who scored 22 in Game 1, combined for 12 points in Game 2. Hibberts magical return to form meant a lot for the Pacers, but Game 2 was tightly contested until late in the fourth quarter. Gortat scored with 3:23 to go to get the Wiz within one, but Washington couldnt buy a bucket after that. The Wizards didnt score again until 11 seconds remained in the game and Indiana did enough to knot the series. "End of the day, we played a pretty good game," said Gortat. "We didnt shoot the ball well, especially from the 3-point line. Weve just got to play better." Playoff basketball returned to Washington for the first time since 2008 and this season is the third time since 1982 the Wizards advanced out of the first round. "I hope that when we get back to D.C. were going to see the crowd ready at least 30 minutes before the game," said Gortat. "We need them. I hope they come early and were going to try and bring it." The Wizards went 1-1 at the Verizon Center against the Chicago Bulls in round one. Washington has won two in a row over the Pacers as the host, but Indiana won four straight prior to that. "This is playoff basketball. You cant lose at home," noted Gortat. Game 4 will be Sunday night in Washington. Earlier, Bayern coach Pep Guardiola told reporters he feared Ribery will be missing "for a long time," without being more specific. But Guardiola also said he hoped to have Ribery back for the Club World Cup that starts Dec. 14 in Morocco. "We have one month until the final in Marrakech. I hope he can play this tournament," Guardiola said. "By then Ill be able to play for sure," Ribery told the online edition of Kicker magazine. "I think Ill be able to play in 10 to 14 days, maybe with pain, but then so be it. Ill just have to play through it." Ribery cracked a rib in Frances 3-0 victory over Ukraine on Tuesday that qualified the French for next yeears World Cup in Brazil. Pittsburgh Penguins Pro Shop. . Bayern originally indicated that Ribery could be back as soon as next week. Guardiola spoke before Bayerns trip to Dortmund for the Bundesliga game on Saturday. Both teams are missing several top players. Ribery is seeking to crown an outstanding season with the Ballon dOr award as FIFAs player of the year. His season includes a treble with Bayern -- the Champions League, Bundesliga and German Cup titles. He could win a fourth major title in Morocco but that will not have any bearing on the Ballon dOr ballot, which has been extended until Nov. 29. Riberys main rival is expected to be Portugal and Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo. "We all know what a great player he is. Of course he deserves it too, but the ballot is about the entire year and I also have my arguments," Ribery told Kicker. ' ' '

FLOWERY BRANCH, Ga. -- The Atlanta Falcons revamped offensive line took a major setback Sunday when left tackle Sam Baker was ruled out for the year after injuring his right knee in a preseason game. The Falcons said the injury plagued Baker sustained a torn patellar tendon in a 32-7 loss to the Houston Texans on Saturday night. First-round pick Jake Matthews could move from right to left tackle to replace Baker, but the injury is a huge blow to Atlantas efforts to bolster a line that was one of the leagues worst a year ago. The Falcons ranked last in the league in yards rushing and quarterback Matt Ryan was sacked a career-high 44 times, in addition to being pressured 203 times, most in the NFL. Baker played in just four games because of a left knee injury that required surgery in November. The Falcons were counting on improvement with Bakers return, the drafting of Matthews with the No. 6 overall pick, and the signing of free-agent guard Jon Asamoah, another instant starter. Now, it looks like Matthews might have to start right away at left tackle, a more demanding position that protects the quarterbacks blind side. Or the Falcons could turn to Lamar Holmes, who struggled mightily while starting 15 games a year ago. "Following his injury in the game, Sam underwent a number of testts and it was determined that he had suffered a torn patellar tendon and will miss the rest of the season," coach Mike Smith said in a statement. Nike NFL Jerseys Cheap. "Sam had worked extremely hard to get back on the field after missing most of last season, and he was having a good camp. I know he is disappointed, but I also know he is a very resilient football player and will do whatever he can to bounce back." Baker, a first-round pick in 2008, has started 61 games in his career but injuries have hindered his progress. He has undergone three back surgeries and even lost his starting job during the 2011 season. After starting all 16 games in 2012, when the Falcons won the NFC South and reached the NFC championship game, Baker was re-signed to a six-year, $41.5 million deal. It hardly looks like money well spent. With the latest injury, Baker will play only four games in the first two years of his current deal. "Its tough," Ryan said. "You never like to see anybody go down, especially in the preseason." This is becoming a familiar woe for the Falcons. A year ago, Mike Johnson was projected to start at right tackle after the team decided not to re-sign Tyson Clabo. The move backfired when Johnson went down in training camp with a season-ending injury. ' ' '
